Trinity House and science
In the 'Beacon' theme I
frequently mentioned Trinity House.
It's a totally UNIQUE institution in many ways.
Founded in 1514 by Henry VIII, it has served the same purposes for 500 years without ever losing track. No Parkinson, no exponential seeking of ever greater failures. Trinity House has two purposes: (1) a Mutual Benefit Association for sailors and (2) preserving the HONESTY and integrity of lighthouses. The latter purpose has expanded APPROPRIATELY to include radio beacons and GPS services along with physical lighthouses.
I recently found that Trinity House also funded important parts of science in the service of keeping the beacons true.
Trinity's scientific research was headquartered in South Foreland Lighthouse on the White Cliffs.

South Foreland is a rather stubby tower since the cliffs take care of the altitude.

In the 1880s, South Foreland was converted to electricity, with a massive new plant to generate AC, designed both for constant unbreakable service and constant research.

At the same time, optical experts were working on lenses and lamps, and acoustical researchers were working on sirens and foghorns, trying to determine the best frequencies and paths for various air conditions.
Finally in 1898, Marconi used South Foreland, along with a lightship and a station in Dover, for pioneering research in radio.
= = = = =
If we're going to have a
positive bounceback from the current holocaust, the most widespread EVIL in all of history, we need to think along the lines of Trinity House.
A Mutual Benefit Association to provide unstoppable BULLYPOWER for the billions of people who were permanently ruined by the holocaust, and a RIGID FEROCIOUS PRESERVER OF SCIENTIFIC HONESTY.
The original Trinity built HONEST lighthouses to replace the DECEPTIVE lighthouses built by aristocratic wreckers.
The New Trinity would fund HONEST research to replace existing MALEVOLENT research in a variety of areas, never losing sight of its basic beacon. If the grants for HONEST research are 10 times as large as the grants for MALEVOLENT research, young unspoiled scientists will gravitate toward the HONEST side. The existing MALEVOLENT researchers won't be swayed by money. They enjoy what they're doing.
The task is achievable. Trinity House has been proving the point for 500 years.

Where are the sane governors?
I've done too many of these futile
Where Are The X items. Here's a new one, which makes more sense than the others. I haven't thought of it before, and I haven't read it elsewhere.
Where are the sane governors?
In previous years, the insane governors used economic BULLYPOWER to shame the sane governors into submission on various issues about "gender" and "race". Wash and Calif and Oregon worked together to force Georgia and SC into submission, and so on.
Time to return the favor.
At this point we have about 45 sane states, where the Public Death Officials are still trying to kill people but the governors have had enough. Some are fully open, most are opening steadily and quickly.
When the ratio is 45 to 5, economic bullypower can be HUGELY effective. If all 45 sane governors got together and refused to do state business with Amazon and Boeing and Microsoft and Nike and Apple and Google, and refused to grant tax privileges to any company in the crazy murderous states, it would have a real effect on the crazy murderous states.
Note: I haven't even bothered to ask Where is Trump or Where is Congress or Where is ANY Federal entity. The absolute fools who still think that Trump will saddle up and ride to the rescue, or Biden, or Obama, or any puppet you can name, haven't been paying the slightest bit of attention to ANYTHING AT ALL for the last 75 fucking years. There are still some occasionally useful counterforces outside DC, but nothing good will ever happen in DC.

Where's the Mafia when you need them?
I've been pointlessly asking
Where are the Guilds? Here's a better question.
Where's the Mafia?
= = = = = START REPRINT:
Prohibition wasn't a response to flu, and it wasn't an intentional part of Madman Wilson's agenda. It was a Federal formalizing of a movement that had been accumulating in the states for 40 years. By 1920 enough states had their own prohibitions that they could leverage a Federal amendment. Prohibition didn't automatically close anything; most breweries and distilleries were able to switch their output to non-beverage products. Bars and restaurants changed their menus but didn't change anything else.
We might draw a useful analogy from the public
response to Prohibition. After a moment of obedience we cheerfully found and developed workarounds, and most police winked at the workarounds because the workarounds paid the police. That's the most optimistic vision of the near future. It's time to resume old-fashioned corruption in ALL fields of endeavor, since ALL HONEST WORK has been outlawed by the holocaust.
= = = = = END REPRINT.
In Italy the Mafia is still active and useful. At the start of the siege there, the Mafia fed unemployed workers who were not receiving anything from the government.
In most of US the Mafia has lost its power.
Where have all the mobsters gone?
Gone to Wall Street every one.
Now they're part of the "official" NYC power structure, able to get billion-dollar bailouts and infinite power with zero chance of punishment. No risk, all murder.
We need to reconstitute a network of non-NYC psychopaths who use their evil powers to
employ ordinary people for currently illegal activities like manufacturing and hairstyling and teaching, instead of following the NYC practice of slaughtering ordinary people.
Ordinary people would be happy to work for gangsters if the gangsters offer real work in exchange for real pay. I've seen this setup in Enid, which was a solidly 'connected' city. Low crime, low cost of living, plenty of work as long as you kept your trap shut and paid your vig.
The BIGGEST advantage of operating outside the law: You can eliminate ALL THE OTHER SHIT that gets in the way of doing a proper high-quality job. Rules, regulations, litigations. Mafias don't meekly "comply" with regulations, and mafias don't meekly settle lawsuits. Mafias deter regulators and lawyers with violence and extortion, ideally stronger violence than Deepstate and nastier extortion than Epstein.
The only rules that matter are real safety rules. If you're working around combustibles, don't smoke. If you're doing delicate or dangerous work, you can't be drunk or high.

You'd think....
Putin visited Jerusalem and appeared with Netanyahu to dedicate a new memorial to WW2.
Why is this unusual? Because Russia has been STOPPING Israel's wars of aggression in the last few years. Russian forces have directly fought Israel/US proxies in Syria, and Russia is emphatically taking Persia's side against Israel/US aggression.
You'd think Bibi would shun all connection with Putin, but he does the opposite. Israel is buying Russian weapons and infrastructure.
From the opposite angle, you'd think Putin would take the anti-Israel side in discussions of WW2 history, to be consistent with his war-stopping activities. But Putin sticks with FACTS on all issues.
In every case Russia STOPS THE AGGRESSORS. In WW2 the main aggressors were anti-Israel, and Russia stopped them. Now the main aggressors are pro-Israel, and Russia stops them. Stopping aggression is the CONSTANT.
I can't get into Bibi's mind, but I suspect he's saner than his US "defenders". He kicked out Soros, THE ONLY ACTUAL LIVING PEDIGREED NAZI. We continue to harbor Soros and follow his infinitely evil commands. Bibi is happy to have the entire US government and corporate and cultural and media structure working on his side, but maybe he'd still be happy if we slowed down the war just a tad. Maybe we could experiment with destroying only one nation per month instead of one per week? Just as a temporary trial project?

Simpler way
Trump and Calif Gov Newsom are arguing about Calif's infinitely stupid high-speed rail project.
Both are missing the point.
Who benefits from this railroad? Casinos. Who loses from this railroad? Calif people.
The sole purpose of this railroad is to bring LA people to Vegas so they can lose all their money.
No government entity should be involved AT ALL in this evil sinful wasteful project.
If it's going to be built, the casinos should pay all of it. There's a long history of railroads building tourist attractions to create traffic, and tourist attractions paying for roads or railroads to reach them.
This project simply proves what we already know.
Casinos run everything. They can mobilize state and federal governments to pour billions of dollars into projects that SOLELY serve the casinos, and avoid spending any of their own evil sinful stolen bloodmoney.
Ordinary taxpayers everywhere are paying to support the most profitable industry in the world, which doesn't need any support. Worst of all, many of those taxpayers have SERIOUS religious objections to gambling. This is identical to funding Planned Parenthood.
The cheapest high-speed link between LA and Vegas would be a money pipeline similar to Paypal. Every LA idiot could link up to the
high-speed bankrupter and instantly send all of his money to Wynne and Adelson. Use blockchain to make it even COOOOOOOOOLER.

We're doing our job, Tulsi.
Tulsi's campaign is emphasizing RESPECT:
One young man in Iowa from the small town of Albia shared that in his town, people can’t even look each other in the eyes at the corner store. He said people have lost friends and even their businesses because of political differences. Conversations that were once casual and friendly have become tense and strained. People are feeling hopeless. Left behind. Bitter with not just the state of politics, but the impact that it’s had on their closest relationships.
Well, this isn't new. It started in the '70s, marked by the Deepstate "Watergate" coup. Deepstate has been intentionally ruining civilization and
generating chaos for 50 years now.
Team thinking was the core of NSA's web
from the start, in the BBS and Usenet era. Every forum on every subject instantly divided into Team A and Team B, and anyone who tried to express an attitude outside the chalk lines was SMASHED into oblivion.
Nothing has changed since then
in the online world. Reinforced by cable "news" and Randian Radio, everyone is NYC.
I really want you to hear this, David: It doesn’t need to be this way. In our movement, we not only respect, but deeply appreciate, that our great nation is made up of a rich diversity of views and attitudes. That progress cannot be made when we fear differences of opinion, resort to cancel culture, or when we allow our leaders and the media to fan the flames of division. On the campaign trail, Tulsi has the opportunity to meet people from across the political spectrum, from all walks of life and with all different (and often very strongly held) points of view. We do our best to ensure that at our gatherings, we create an environment of aloha and respect that is so lacking from our political discourse. We may respectfully disagree, yet we are still able to look each other in the eyes and have a conversation.
It's nice that your bot calls me by name, Tulsi, but frankly I don't see any of that shit in daily life. In this neighborhood, Tulsi, most people mind their own business and treat others with respect and kindness. We are the exact opposite of NYC, which never gives, never pays, never makes, never thanks. We try to yield and tolerate, and we try to be thankful when others yield and tolerate.
Are we really unusual or unique, Tulsi? Maybe, but I doubt it. This area is thoroughbred Deplorable. Lower middle to poor, struggling single parents and comparatively comfortable oldsters. Quite a few homeowners are taking in boarders or hooking up RVs in their yards. Mixed race, about one black family on each block, a lot of NW tribes. No NYC types, no Randians. [The city is dysgoverned by a
Randian NYC carpetbagger who has done incalculable damage to the place and the people, but fortunately he doesn't condescend to enter Deplorable neighborhoods.]
So I say yet again that RESPECT is nice, but we're already there. We're doing our job, Tulsi. Talk is cheap, and the old
uniter not divider shit is the cheapest of all.
When will you start doing your job as candidate, Tulsi? When will you tell us something we don't already know? When will you tell us what you PLAN TO FUCKING DO?
= = = = =
Later, looking at social media, it appears that lots of people had similar reactions. Don't tell us to be kind and tolerant. You're in a position of power right now, Tulsi. You can DO something about these problems. We can't. Start DOING it, and then we'll be more inclined toward kindness.

Giant non-lookback
This year is the 50th anniversary of my Mansfield year, and today is the day I moved from the county jail into Mansfield. I'm torn between some sort of writing versus the basic DON'T LOOK BACK.
Choosing the latter,
here's a beautiful exorcism exercise from Zuhlsdorf, the only remaining representative of God's side within the Roman hierarchy. He proposes that each major bishop should form a giant sign of the cross over his entire diocese, crossing the territory with a counterforce to Satan.
No bishops will take up the idea,
because Zuhlsdorf is the only remaining representative of God's side within the Roman hierarchy. Nevertheless the proposal may lead to similar exercises by non-hierarchical Romans on God's side, if any exist.

A modest proposal.
Eliminating all media will eliminate all major wars.
Eliminating all media will eliminate all major crimes.
= = = = =
War: Major wars are fought to make public points. Modern US wars are fought to demonstrate our loyalty to Saudi and Israel. If the war can't make headlines, there's no point in fighting it.
There are lots of minor wars and skirmishes, especially in Africa and Latin America, which are essentially gang battles disguised as religious or ethnic disputes. The media doesn't cover these wars, so we know they will continue when the media is shut down. Constants and variables.
= = = = =
Crime: Here we can be more precise, dividing crime into categories.
1. Hate hoaxes are committed PURELY for media attention, with the strong collaboration of media. They will disappear instantly.
2. "Terrorist acts" are committed by FBI and CIA to provide "problems" that need to be "solved" by increasing the power snd budget of FBI and CIA. Parkinson. If "terrorist acts" are not splashed all over the media, there's no point in committing them. FBI and CIA will have to find other ways of justifying increased budget.
3. School massacres and similar
dramatic crimes are not always sponsored by FBI, but they are designed to gain publicity BY DEFINITION. If there's no glory, you can't go out in a blaze of glory.
4. As with wars, there are many low-level crimes that are NOT covered by the media. Gang battles, drug-induced thefts, drunk bar fights. These will continue.
= = = = =
The dividing line is simple.
Crimes and wars that are covered in the media will stop when the media stops.
This isn't
tree falls in a forest or Schrödinger, it's just supply and demand. Media is a factory that processes war and murder into eyeballs and clicks. Media needs an ever-increasing supply of war and murder because eyeballs are part of the human sensory apparatus, thus responsive only to
DELTAS. Like any poison, constant input leads to increasing adaptation, requiring an
ever-increasing dose to achieve the requisite result. Because media needs the raw material of violence and mayhem, media works hard to create more violence and mayhem.
You may protest... "But we NEED news." No. We don't.
I already answered that objection.

Finale for H/T mode
A nice closeout for this week's hat/tip mode.
A huge hat/tip to SOME of the candidates for mayor in Chicago. Astonishingly, they are COMMITTING
REAL POLITICS and COMMITTING HONESTY. They are OPPOSING the Elonian Tunnel, a MAXIMALLY COOL Wall Street Scam that is PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE.
In most cities all candidates serve Bloomberg. All candidates support Wall Street frauds and crimes. Chicago is a partial exception, which is a tiny sign of hope for something vaguely resembling democracy.
From the Chicago Tribune:
Most candidates to replace Emanuel for mayor are either lukewarm about the project or hostile to it. If the city does not get a contract with the billionaire entrepreneur soon and elects a mayor who does not support the project, plans for the transit system are unlikely to move forward.
No surprise there. Emanuel is Obama, which means Emanuel is Wall Street.
Emanuel and Musk said the project would not cost the city anything, and would be entirely financed by the company. The plan has drawn skepticism from some engineering and transportation experts, who wonder how the company can dig a 17-mile tunnel and create passenger service in a few years for just $1 billion.
Experts don't "wonder". Experts KNOW that the whole thing is utter and total nonsense at ANY price. The tunnel CANNOT WORK. It is
PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE like perpetual motion.
Some nice sharp language from other candidates:
“I’d kill it,” said former Chicago Public Schools head Paul Vallas in a recent forum on improving the CTA. “I can’t wait to kill it.”
Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle expressed reservations. “This is definitely something I would put on pause. If we’re going to make investments in transit, I think they should be investments in the CTA and in Metra.”
Asked if the project should continue, attorney and candidate Gery Chico told the Tribune in a statement, “Absolutely not, and it should be halted before February 26.”
Good work.
I don't know anything about Chicago politics, so I don't know if these folks have a realistic chance. A more familiar name (Daley) is also in the race, and basically approves the project with some extremely slight reservations. Daley is Obama, so he will win.
= = = = =
Come to think of it, I'm amazed in the OTHER direction that the all-Bloomberg dysgovernment here in Spokane HASN'T already completed negotiations with Elon. This is exactly the kind of thing STA loves to do. Cut off all service to the stinky Deplorables who actually USE the bus, spend trillions to serve the COOL people who WILL NEVER COME NEAR PUBLIC TRANSIT UNDER ANY CONDITIONS.
Here. I'll help STA accomplish its normal purposes. Maybe they just haven't heard of this system before.
The route will be from COOOOOOL Kendall Yards to even CCCOOOOOOOLER Coeur d'Alene, with the terminal at Hagadone's floating resort.
I'll do the prelim engineering for a straight shot from Kendall to Hagadone.

The tunnel will pass through 3 miles of solid basalt, then run along the edge of the aquifer, alternating between solid basalt and gravel filled with running water for about 10 miles, then through solid basalt for the last 10 miles, then through the lake to the last bit that has to adapt telescopically to a floating platform.
Easy to dig through the aquifer! There's no solid at all! You just have to keep the wet gravel from backwashing into the dug part while you place the cylindrical sections. Not so easy through solid basalt. It might cost as much as $420 per mile by Elonian accounting standards.
The big advantage of the aquifer is that it's constantly shifting around and changing its flow pattern. The walls of the Hyperloop will be slammed around and floated up and down by the changing flow. Since the Hyperloop is essentially an old wooden roller-coaster, this will make the ride extra-fun!!!!! You never know when the Tunnel of Love will flood and turn into a twisty and turny Thai Pedo Cave!!!! Right up Elon's alley. Needless to say, all cars in the metro area will have to be mandatorily retrofitted (at owner expense) as amphibious vehicles with Github-updated software to make the automatic transition from Roller Coaster to Pedo Rescue Capsule.
There! Now the project is started. Over to you, STA!

Ignoring the gap
Following on
previous item where I recommended that God's people need to use God's Natural Law organizations and facilities more effectively. Unions, families, Mutual Benefit Associations, etc.
There's one big piece missing in the discussion of Brexit.
The role of the UK dysgovernment is obvious, though it wasn't quite clear at the start. May began with an
apparently meaningful effort, but after a few months she fell into the standard bureaucratic routine. Lots of surface action to fool and pacify the suckers, but no real movement underneath.
= = = = =
The process of splitting doesn't need to be complex. It could take about one month. Unsign all relevant treaties, delete all "laws" inserted to satisfy EU, publish the changes, send the changes to Brussels. Since all of the "laws" have been made since 1993, all are well within the era of computer-based records, and all are explicitly written. No need to dig back through centuries of tradition and Common Law and Domesday Books and Magna Carta. One month to do a thorough job.
And after that, just CONTINUE TRADING. If your business buys stuff from France or Krautland, continue buying. If you sell stuff to Spain or Italy, keep selling.
= = = = =
IF ANYONE TRIES TO STOP YOU, DISOBEY.
= = = = =
Here's the missing piece. If businesses really WANTED to trade, they would ORGANIZE A UNION (like the
Hanseatic League) to apply BULLY FORCE to the stoppers. All traders in all relevant countries, working together, would have an unstoppable BULLY POWER against all of their governments.
Bullies like Juncker give way when they encounter serious resistance.
I don't see any motion in this direction, even after two years of May's grotesque bureaucrat game.

Calling Lord Elon!
Speaking of crazy beyond crazy beyond crazy, and speaking of intentional but purposeless civilizational suicide:
London's airports are closed "for the duration" because a few little model airplanes have been seen. There's no way these little model airplanes could cause even the slightest problem for the real airplanes, but OUT OF AN ABUNDANCE OF CAUTION we must LOCKDOWN LOCKDOWN LOCKDOWN and SHELTER IN PLACE until the "meaning" of these model airplanes can be investigated. We know, of course, that RUSSIAN_MEDDLING is responsible, but we still need a 10-year-long investigation to be sure all RUSSIAN_BOTS are found and EXTERMINATED before we can reopen the airport.
Modest proposal:
We need to invent a
thing that can push out a
thing with enough speed and force to disable the little model planes. Sort of like throwing a rock, but somehow more accurate and powerful. Sometime in the far distant future, some Elon-style genius may develop this
better-than-rock thing.
Meanwhile, airports never shut down when a bird is seen. Hawks and pigeons are about the same size as these little model planes. Big birds CAN AND DO cause real airplanes to crash, because nobody has yet invented a
thing that can go in front of the jet engine to keep birds out. Sometime in the far distant future, some Elon-style genius may find a way to put
narrow things together in a sort of
criss-cross pattern, to let air through but block birds.
Please, Lord Elon, hear our humble prayers! Take some time away from thy Holy Crack Pipe and honor us with these unprecedented inventions! We are unworthy of thine holy attention, but we supinely beg and petition thee for assistance in this our hour of need!

Later: Shit. Pulling out of my stupid failed satire, here's the latest REAL satire: The "British" "Army" has been called out and is now DISCUSSING how to deal with the situation. Discussing? Jesus. JUST SHOOT IT. You don't need fancy crap. Any duck or partridge hunter will have the right equipment and skills to take down a flying object without harming people or planes.
And this line from ZH, probably quoting some Brit newspaper:
In a scary preview of the disruptions that could soon become commonplace in our technology-infused future,
PREVIEW? TECH-INFUSED FUTURE? Radio-controlled model planes have been around for 70 years, and radio-controlled FULL-SIZE planes have been around for EXACTLY 100 years. This is PAST, not FUTURE. You don't need feasibility studies and research task forces. Just call a duck hunter.
As I noted here, we have CHOSEN to be totally helpless and totally paralyzed and totally DEAD. We have SURRENDERED all brainpower and will and LIFE. No previous collapsed civilization has VOLUNTARILY DEANIMATED ITSELF.

Modest GenRad proposal
Lately there's a
lot of discussion about transparency and cost in academic journals. Atypically it's a
real debate with two or three sides actively contending and responding to each other. Most of our "discussions" are one-sided auctions, bidding up the number of innocent victims we need to murder to accomplish a delusional non-purpose.
This article focuses on alleged secondhand smoke effects of SciHub and similar free archives. The author correctly points out that any hacking can lead to deeper hacking. He tries to extend 'can lead' into a broad accusation that the main purpose of the archives is hacking identities.
Dubious. Some of the commenters go beyond dubious, following the Official Deepstate Line. Because the hacking is ACTUALLY coming from China and Thailand and USA, it must be RUSSIAN_MEDDLING. All problems are caused by Russia.
The real problem, of course, is simpler and deeper. The whole tenure system produces a pointless self-feeding economy of status and money, with very little real output of knowledge. As I tiresomely repeat, most real knowledge is generated outside of academia.
= = = = =
Since tenure is not going away, here's a modest proposal based on my own EXPERIENCE on both sides of the divide. I was involved in research for 20 years and listed as co-author of a few papers. Now I'm
consuming articles, partly for my own pleasure and partly to increase my understanding of subjects I need to illustrate in courseware.
Those two PURPOSES are different types of consumption. For my own pleasure I'm not willing to pay $30 or $40 to get through a paywall, and I've found that the paid article usually doesn't go much beyond the free abstract. For courseware I need to know accurate details, so I'm willing to pay even though there's no way I can charge off the expense.
= = = = =
PROPOSAL:
Separate the two purposes, following the
model already established for instrumentation. You can buy a usable sound level meter for about $100. You can buy an OFFICIALLY REGISTERED sound level meter for about $3000. What do you get for 30 times the price? You don't get a meter that's 30 times better. You get OFFICIAL TRACEABLE REGISTERED calibration by GenRad, which you can include in court testimony as part of a chain of evidence.
Let's make the same distinction in published articles. If you're just learning or satisfying your curiosity, you pay a nominal fee of a few dollars. If you need to CITE this article in your OWN OFFICIAL PUBLICATION, you pay $100 or more, which buys a REGISTRATION in an official database. Citing an unregistered article causes instant rejection of your paper.
This will certainly make life easier for non-citing students, and thus ease the pressure for free hacked copies. This
could lead to secondary advantages. (1) Citing will become more selective, making it easier to follow the real precedents of an article. (2) If citeable articles cost a lot more, the quality of citeable articles will tend to improve. Citers will be less willing to pay for material that doesn't advance knowledge.
= = = = =
Later thought: If my instrumentation metaphor is unfamiliar, you could think of open source software. Single user gets it free, while the cost is chiefly handled by expensive commercial licenses.

Weak points
Again continuing the
split Sorosia theme...
One issue that splits Deepstate is 'machine learning' or AI. There are major Deepstaters on both sides. Some are actively developing it, some are loudly opposing it. Elon, of course, is doing both at once.
I think opposition is more natural for Deepstaters, and active development is just commercial careerism. Let's see if I can show how this works.
= = = = =
1. Machine learning is NOT NEW. Long before the computer age, there were mechanical and electronic systems that adjusted their own
way of responding as a result of 'remembered' experience.
Start from the start with the PRIMORDIAL technology, cooking fires. A fire behaves differently after the ashes have piled up for days or weeks, and cooks have learned to use this altered behavior for different types of cooking.
Mechanical examples are more subtle but common. In cars, self-adjusting brakes and hydraulic valve lifters change their limit points automatically as the surfaces wear down. Both of these mechanisms are 80 years old. In electronics, volume leveling and noise canceling circuits adjust the current response based on a 'memory' of the last 5 or 10 seconds. Fairly complex, but again 80 years old, well before the era of software.
2. Deepstate HATES experience more than anything in the world. Mechanisms and people who adjust their behavior based on memory and experience are ADAPTABLE, thus UNSTEADY. The only way to achieve ABSOLUTE BRITTLE RIGID STEADY DEATH is by following an abstract THEORY. A theory never changes.
3. Deepstate squashes all invocations of experience with
CITE YOUR DOCUMENTATION. This happens all the time in web comboxes and academia. Any attempt to bring PERSONAL OBSERVATION into a discussion is met with the CITE weapon. Only PERMANENT UNCHANGING WRITTEN AUTHORITATIVE THEORY is acceptable.
4. Deepstate hates experiential education because learning from reality, using your hands and senses,
enables you to DETECT a false theory. When your hands and eyes are in direct contact with a frog or a circuit or a
bridge, you can't be fooled by written nonsense.
5. Deepstate
loves statistics and hates phase and wave charts. Statistics are
timeless by definition. When you reduce a situation to mean and variance, you have explicitly STRANGLED THE LIFE out of the situation.
6. Deepstate is always surprised by changes that can be predicted easily by an intelligent experience-based mind. Deepstaters don't understand
saturation or
cycles or
the entire fucking nervous system. When a natural phenomenon or a human behavior runs in cycles or adapts to a baseline, Deepstate can't comprehend what's going on, and has to blame it on a mysterious spiritual force like witches or CO2 or "randomness" or RUSSIAN_MEDDLING.
= = = = =
All of these tendencies are WEAK POINTS in Deepstate thinking. All could be EXPLOITED by the feedback-guided and experience-guided side. We ought to be taking advantage of this weakness.
= = = = =
[Credit footnote:
Again I have to thank the NYTimes anonymous neocon eunuch who supplied the correct word, the CLARIFYING word, for our demonic occupiers.]
Later footnote: A reader could rationally infer from this item that I'm supporting 'killer robots' and 'intelligent drones'. I'm not. First: I'm just saying that 'killer robots' are nothing new or special, not any worse than plain old dumb weapons and soldiers. War is war, and war is bad. Second: As a long-time programmer with some experience in this type of work AND some knowledge of neurology, I know that AI is overrated. It can't do the things that its techie supporters claim. Overall, we should be worrying about the basic question of war versus peace, not worrying about specific ways of making war.
In short: Why does Deepstate fear AI-powered weapons? Because any intelligence that gathers EXPERIENTIAL DATA on its own will conclude that war is bad. Bad for everyone and everything, including the nation that built the weapon. All experience in human history agrees 100% with this conclusion. If the weapon wants to serve its maker, it will shut down and do nothing.
The only way to build a loyal war-loving robot is to preprogram it with a THEORY (eg "spreading democracy"), and restrict its inputs and logic to precoded data.

Don't be there, expanded edition
Continuing from previous.
I've contributed to the Thomas More defense fund for Daleiden. They're begging for more, which is EXTREMELY UNDERSTANDABLE. They estimate that the defense will cost 20 million.
New thought:
Don't be there applies to legal defense as well. We've seen REPEATEDLY AND CONSISTENTLY that heretics are NEVER ALLOWED TO WIN. Satan owns all the black-robed demons and all the prosecutor demons.
Both sides are playing a game. The defense side knows perfectly well that Satan NEVER GIVES UP. Satan has INFINITE resources because SATAN OWNS THE COUNTERFEIT PRINTING PRESS. There is exactly ZERO chance of winning. Defender organizations gain budget and workforce by running a permanent defense. Parkinson, Parkinson, Parkinson.
Satan doesn't really like to kill heretics, because death ends the
wasted energy and creates a martyr. Satan prefers to keep heretics OCCUPIED FOREVER with pointless fighting that will never succeed.**
What's the alternative?
Don't be here. Live
elsewhere without wasted energy.
Orwell showed us part of the picture in the last piece of the book, where Winston is living on a small pension, sipping coffee with other heretics in shabby cafes, discussing simple topics with the few neurons remaining after their brains were Rectified.
Is this good Victory Coffee? Yes this is good Victory Coffee. Do you love Big Brother? Yes I love Big Brother. Is this good Victory Coffee? [loop]
= = = = =
MODEST PROPOSAL:
Instead of crowdfunding an endless and EXPONENTIALLY COUNTERPRODUCTIVE court "fight", we should be crowdfunding a proper pension or annuity for heretics. We know that heretics will never be allowed to work, so we should honor them and protect them by giving them a decent retirement in a sane and INDEPENDENT country like Brazil or Russia.
Assuming a 3% return, a fund of 20 million would support 20 heretics decently and permanently in Brazil, where
30K is a professional-class income.
In other words, a thousand people donating a thousand each could annuitize one heretic. Realistic and achievable, if someone with the right connections can set up the fund properly.= = = = =
** Footnote:
OCCUPIED FOREVER with pointless fighting that will never succeed. That's exactly what we do to heretical COUNTRIES as well.

Y no module index?
Convective thought.
Why isn't there a standard Scale for Modularity vs Centralization?
As I've
discussed forever, Nature is perfectly modular. From the 'organelles' inside a cell, to cells, to tissues, to organs, to complete organisms, to colonies of organisms, every layer has its own range of control and action, and every layer has only limited access and control to lower layers.
Human combinations, from family to company to neighborhood to city to township to county and upward, also work best when they follow the same rule. Strict boundaries on each level, minimal access and control to the next layer, no
direct access or control from top to bottom.
The Sorosian side of the world has abandoned modularity. The topmost layer (US, EU, Google) has total access and control on each individual, and all intermediate layers are factored out. They still exist as symbols, but they have no function.
Satan also uses an "opposite" argument to accomplish the same goal. The Libertarian tech monsters seek no government at ANY level, which AUTOMATICALLY GUARANTEES that Soros and Bezos have universal and total control over all individuals.
= = = = =
We have many commonly used indexes and scales. Some are
intentionally backward like GDP, others are basically valid like the Gini index.
We don't even discuss modularity in public. Occasionally we'll hear an anecdotal measurement or comparison. A few years ago the governor of Montana commented that Canadian provinces are more modular than US states.
Accurate observations about the USSR noted that the various modules (republics, okrugs, oblasts, etc) had far more independence than our propaganda told us. Catholics do sometimes discuss decentralization, but usually in a reverse context. Bergoglio, like his boss Soros, uses the image of modularity to
weaken the modules for easier conquest.
If we had a 'commensurable' index, we could fit these observations into a meaningful framework that could lead to PURPOSEFUL GOALS. A political or intrachurch movement could seek to raise the modularity from 40 to 60, and would know when the goal was reached.

If
Random thought.
If Trump really wanted to change things, he'd start issuing executive orders that are PRECISELY THE SAME as Obama's executive orders, EXACT PHOTOCOPIES, with only one difference. The signature of Obama is crossed out and replaced by Trump's signature, and the date is crossed out and replaced by the current date.
Black-robed demons will instantly overrule the order because it was issued by Incorrect President. Repeat this process daily. Over and over and over and over. Pretty soon all of Obama's orders will be overturned BY THE DEMONS, not by Trump. Nothing will be left of Obama's decisions. Nobody can question the actions of demons, and the demons will find it difficult to overrule their OWN actions later.
Needless to say, this won't happen. We already know that Trump doesn't intend to change anything. He didn't do anything remotely resembling this; didn't even call attention to the fact that he was mainly restoring orders that had existed during most of Obama's term. The demons weren't bothered by the orders until Incorrect President restored them.

A new Manhattan Project.
Polistra thinks it's time for a new Manhattan Project. Or rather a Project Manhattan. A vast secret enterprise designing a method to project NYC out of the universe.

Push it out of the earth, accelerate it beyond the solar system, guide it to the nearest black hole where it can be handed to some other universe.
Since the very start, NYC has been the enemy of civilization, the enemy of Natural Law, the enemy of the universe. NYC has been the center of destruction aimed against Deplorables of all eras. The Insatiables of NYC have switched ethnicity over the centuries. First Dutch, then English, then Jewish, now transitioning to Hindu. Always
trader types, always exterminating the non-traders, the building and fixing and praying people. The 1776 revolution broke down natural Parliamentary rule and common law, replacing them by insane theories. Madman Lincoln's war eliminated secure lifetime employment for farmer and mechanic types, replacing it by disposable "liberty". 1929 and 2008, among many other bubbles, exterminated the skills and lives of farmers and mechanics.
Every time the non-traders had a chance for security and peace and prosperity, NYC's Insatiables came along and smashed everything.
Revenge is
precisely 400 years overdue. Project Manhattan!

How to make it happen
Mediademon ABC has actually "suspended" Brian Ross for a false story.
Unlike all other purported historic firsts, this is truly a historic first. All previous firings have been for external crap like misbehavior in the office or telling false stories outside of the "news".
Why did Ross get "suspended" for this false story, while the rest of the "news" consists of nothing but false stories?
Because this false story caused share values to drop.
Share values are the entire universe. Nothing else counts. Customers are a luxury who can be tossed out when they interfere with Share Value. Employees, products, truth, legality, all are negative externalities. If any of the NEs get in the way of Share Value, they disappear.
If sane people were smart they'd catch on. The way to move Deepstate is to couple your desired change to Share Value.
Want abortions to decrease? Find a way for each abortion to drop the Dow.
Want wars to stop? Find a way for a war to break the NASDAQ.
As it stands, abortion and wars are GOOD for Share Value, so they continue.

Time for transparency
Following from
this story about the end of a previous witch hunt....
Polistra thinks we need more
transparency and
consistency in our witch hunts.
When witch hunt mode is
OFF, ordinary actions like curing disease, or talking to members of the opposite sex, or talking to politicians in other countries, are
ORDINARY.
When witch hunt mode is
ON, ordinary actions like curing disease, or talking to members of the opposite sex, or talking to politicians in other countries, are
DEADLY SINS.
A simple device could display the current hunt mode and avoid unpleasant surprises. Media demon studios already have this device with a different text, so they could rig up the new version for their own use, and make it available for mounting on courtrooms and police cars.
