Erdogan is fucking crazy
It's discouraging to watch a leader who once had a firm grasp on reality descend into self-destructive craziness.
Turkey has been playing US against Russia for many decades. The coquette routine works when you're offering favors in return for favors. It doesn't work in the current situation.
Erdogan has inserted himself BETWEEN Russia and USA in Syria, fighting AGAINST both sides. And now he wants USA and Russia to give him more weapons so he can fight AGAINST both sides.
This is like parachuting into Normandy on D-Day and shooting both ways at once, then asking FDR and Hitler for more bullets to shoot more American and Kraut soldiers.
Crazy beyond crazy beyond crazy.
Sign of progress
When Erdogan jumped into Libya a couple months ago, it looked like more of his stupid self-defeating imperialism.
Maybe not.
Via Al Jazeera, Russia and Turkey are hosting the leaders of both sides in Libya's long civil war, hoping to start some kind of peace process. Russia has been backing Haftar and Turkey has just started backing Sarraj. Now both countries have some degree of leverage on the respective sides.
This turns out to be a smart move, an intervention aimed toward peace.
After several years, I'm re-applying the Zero Problems tag to Erdogan. ... but still remaining cautious.
On Sunday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan - who last weekend fired the head of the central bank for not cutting rates fast enough, and who has now become the de facto head of the CBRT - promised "significantly lower interest rates by the end of the year", Bloomberg reported.
“We aim to reduce inflation to one digit by the end of this year,” Erdogan told journalists in Istanbul, according to the state-run Anadolu news agency. “As we achieve this, we will achieve our year-end interest rate target as well."
Erdogan was uniquely SMART on the subject of Soros in person. When Soros led a coup, Erdogan squashed it and then jailed EVERYONE involved. All countries should do the same.
But then he spoiled the whole PURPOSE of winning the war by continuing the campaign to join EU, which is Soros.
In the last few months he seems to have settled into the Russian side on basic military matters, which will help to accomplish the basic PURPOSE. You can't defeat Soros while courting Soros.
Now he's going full Soros in economic terms. Zero interest, infinite debt. This GUARANTEES total control by the bankers, and RUINS the strong industrial economy that Turkey has built over many decades.
On this issue, like all other issues, he should be learning from Russia. Putin kicked out Soros a long time ago, along with the Sorosian satanic economics that we had injected into Yeltsin's regime. Russia's central bank focuses on getting INDUSTRY and FARMS running, which compels higher interest rates, more savings, less debt, and lower foreign exchange rates. Banker Nabibullina is doing ALL the right things for the REAL economy, which makes her uniquely heroic among all bankers.
Erdogan starts to straighten upErdogan is finally figuring out that Russia is the better partner for Turkey.
I don't know why he played both sides for so long. Even after you eliminate ideology and power, the geography and economics are obvious. Turkey has a border with the Russian Empire, if not Russia itself. Turkey has a major gas pipeline from Russia leading to the Mediterranean. The Bosporus is the gateway into the Black Sea, which is Russia's Mediterranean outlet.
Turkey is two oceans away from America, and doesn't touch any American sealanes or pipelines or anything.
We were using Turkey as a forward base for our constant aggressions against Russia, but we weren't giving Turkey much in return. Our Syrian war poured millions of refugees into Turkey, which has been feeding and housing and educating them for years without any compensation.
With all of those permanent and temporary factors, the choice should have been immediately obvious.
Erdogan is still stupid on economics. He continues to force Goldman-style policies which harm everyone except Goldman. Since Turkey doesn't have any members of the Goldman tribe, there is nobody in Turkey who benefits from low interest and high exchange rates. Turkey has a strong manufacturing sector which is directly harmed by high exchange rates.
Erdogan should learn from Russia's head central banker Elvira Nabiullina, who comes from a Tatar family, linguistically and ethnically close to Turks. [Most Tatars are Muslims, but I can't tell from online sources if Nabiullina's family is Muslim.] Nabiullina has done the HARD WORK of cleaning up the damage done by Soros in the '90s and restoring Russia's economy to proper Russian/Soviet form, with low debt and strong productivity. She's not afraid of high interest rates because she understands BASIC FUCKING ECONOMICS. So far she has made all the right moves for God's side, which is absolutely unique among central bankers. All other central bankers are 100% Satan.
Semi-relevant sidenote: Nabiullina is also the only banking or treasury official in all of history whose face would make a coin more pleasant instead of more repulsive.
Best title 0.5Things worth doing and how to do ... HALF of them.
= = = = =
For a national government, the THINGS WORTH DOING are:
Serve the interests of your own people. Defend them from invaders.
Erdogan is frustrating. He does a magnificent job of DEFENDING his people from Sorosian invaders. He has jailed and removed more Sorosians than all the other God-side leaders combined.
But he fails utterly on the other half of THINGS WORTH DOING, the economic side. He had a chance to do the right thing by allowing interest rates to go up. Removing price controls is ALWAYS the right thing, and in this particular case even the economists were recommending a rate rise. He blew it by ordering his central bank to do the SOROSIAN THING, holding rates down.
Eliminating savings and boosting loans is the economic BLACK HEART of Sorosism and Goldmanism. Infinite debt and zero savings is the standard and imperative operating mode of demonic economies. Eliminate all investment in production, eliminate all self-defense by small business and individuals. Total blackmail by banks, total abstraction and counterfeiting by Goldman.
The god-side economies are low in debt and high in savings, and allow rates to move more or less naturally to keep this bias. Erdogan had the chance to apply this rule but chose the Soros side in economics.
I would love to sympathize with him for his powerful defense action, but I can't sympathize with his self-destructive stupidity on the econ side.
It’s generally assumed that NATO member nations are going to import their weapons from NATO arms dealers, which pretty much always means the United States, with a few small deals for Britain and France. Turkey however, is going a different way on air defense, signing a deal to buy a $2.5 billion S-400 system from Russia.
The deal means Turkey’s new air defense system won’t be compatible with the rest of the alliance for the purposes of integration, though the S-400 is widely considered among the most advanced in the world. Russia will directly provide two S-400 batteries on the deal, and will also produce two more batteries within Turkey in the future.
This is more concrete and permanent than Erdogan's verbal mood swings. Our empire is inspired by neocon lunatics and maintained in Congress by defense contractors. Switching away from US defense contractors is a serious declaration of independence, just as switching away from British merchants was a big part of the US declaration.
Most interesting is the "local content" section of the contract. Russia never moved away from REAL VALUE ECONOMICS. Providing jobs and skills for Turks is another form of defense and alliance.
The Soviet system was all about REAL VALUE, and despite the efforts of Soros and Jeffrey Sachs in the '90s, Russia maintained REAL VALUE economics and REAL VALUE culture. That's why we hate it.
Saluting Turkey yet againErdogan held a referendum, basically a vote of confidence. He won. Close, but firm enough.
So Polistra and friends salute Turkey yet again. (Fourth time, I think.)
Erdogan's approach to Russia is sort of twitchy, but Putin seems to handle it. More importantly, Erdogan is protecting the PEOPLE of Turkey from Soros. The people recognize his resonance and resonate in harmony.
Later note: Globalists are uniformly and predictably protesting the election, calling Erdogan an 'authoritarian'. This happens every fucking time. A leader who is confident that he RULES WITH THE CONSENT OF HIS PEOPLE calls an election. He wins. Globalists protest that the ruler WITH CONSENT OF HIS OWN PEOPLE is 'authoritarian', and want to undo the election for the sake of 'democracy'. By contrast, leaders who like to shout 'democracy' never call elections because underneath the shouting they know good and goddamn well that they DO NOT HAVE THE CONSENT OF THEIR PEOPLE.
This pattern is so absolutely predictable that we can objectively define 'democracy' as KILLING YOUR OWN PEOPLE and 'authoritarian' as PROTECTING YOUR OWN PEOPLE.
Wanna talk about Christmas Miracles?
Two events today:
= = = = =
Event 1. Russia and Turkey announce ceasefire in Syria followed by peace talks.
WAR ENDS should be the ONLY headline this morning.
It took longer than I thought because we were committed to continuing our war forever. Despite our Herculean efforts to serve Soros, Russia brought Turkey onto the Allied side. That was enough to break the will of our CIA-Axis forces. Turkey's switch from serving Soros to eliminating Soros is a true miracle.
= = = = =
Event 2. Obama places more sanctions on Russia for the falsely accused crime of providing information, and for the validly accused crime of bringing peace.
Our perfect evil is perfectly exposed.
Jesus said 'blessed are the peacemakers', BushObamaClinton says 'cursed are the peacemakers'.
First sign of real Brexit
Britain's OFFICIAL media are showing the first sign of independence from the Kraut occupiers. It's a small point, but an important disagreement.
After the Soros/Gulen coup in Turkey, BBC joined the other US/EU media in stating, as usual FLATLY AND CASUALLY AS A KNOWN FACT LIKE GRAVITY, that the coup was faked by Erdogan to increase his power.
Two weeks later, BBC and some US media accepted the real fact that the coup was GENUINE, organized by Gulenists. (Of course they can't say Soros, but at least the basics are right.)
Kraut media haven't changed. DW still treats the coup as dubious if not certainly fake.
This morning BBC admitted that it KNEW the truth IMMEDIATELY. Their Ankara correspondent is telling about the night of the coup. He says clearly that it was a failed coup by part of the military, put down mainly by the TURKISH PEOPLE, who support Erdogan.
Okay, correspondent. You knew the truth because you had SEEN the truth first-hand. You knew your bosses were lying and suppressing YOUR truth. Why didn't you blow the whistle?
Saluting the ALLIES
A couple years ago I thought Russia and Turkey were starting to get together. Then Erdogan mysteriously switched from his admirable Zero Problems approach to All Problems, and seemingly broke off with Russia forever. Now that Erdogan has purged the Soros Virus, he is finally returning to Zero Problems, and returning to the Allies.
So it's time for Polistra and friends to salute The Allies. Russia, Turkey, Persia, and (possibly) Hungary and Slovakia.
What do the Allies have in common? They have eradicated the Soros Virus. They are able to build walls and protect THEIR OWN PEOPLE.
The Axis (US,UK,EU) is totally infested by Sorovirus. Like many other parasites, Sorovirus forces its victims to take ALL NECESSARY STEPS toward national suicide.
Changed line?
After Gulen-Soros attempted a coup in Turkey, all media stated as a FACT that the coup was faked by Erdogan. This was the only line.
This morning the line is switching. BBC is running a report right now, listening to actual Turks, that gets it right. Gulen is American. Opposition politicians are unhappy with Erdogan's popularity, but they were unhappy with Erdogan's popularity before the coup. That's why they're called opposition politicians.
CNN has also removed the "scare quotes" around the "coup" and now treats it as a real rebellion that needs a real response.
What's the difference? Are the media just following their Prophet Obama, who expressed firm support for Erdogan? But why did Our Lord And Savior Obama switch in the first place? Before this coup, all the Cool People were with Soros and absolutely opposed to Erdogan.
Later in the day: The change continues. Every article aggregated by Google now treats the coup as genuine, and treats Erdogan's response as necessary.
Zero Problems wins.
After going along with the Deep State for a year, Erdogan recently returned to his heroic Zero Problems policy.
Goldman dba Gülen does not like Zero Problems. Goldman does not like stable non-chaotic countries anywhere near Israel, and Goldman ESPECIALLY does not like countries choosing to align with RUSSIANAGGRESSION. Goldman made a coup using part of Turkey's military.
Clearly the majority of the army AND THE HEROIC PEOPLE did not stand with Goldman.
Zero Problems sometimes requires killing a few Problems.
Our infinitely evil Deep State finally gave Turkey a "Spring", and Turkey cured our "Spring" in one day.
Polistra and friends salute Turkey. Even more strongly than before.
Incidentally: Turkey is a NATO member, and this was an attack by USA on Turkey. The rules of NATO require all NATO members (except the attacker) to respond to the attacker. If NATO really meant what its charter said, France and Germany and others should immediately launch a counterstrike against USA. Of course this will not happen, because NATO is just another tool of Goldman and Soros.
Update: Erdogan is telling USA STRONG that we need to stop protecting and assisting Gülen, and we need to extradite his filthy ass back to Turkey. It's an empty threat because Turkey doesn't have nukes ... Or does it? Erdogan has apparently isolated our AFB that supposedly has bombers carrying nukes. Probably not enough. Result depends on Russia, I suspect. If Russia decides this is worth a collaborative effort, we will face a real and RICHLY DESERVED problem. Do we continue destroying the world, or do we finally admit our crimes?
Zero Problems returns
For a couple of years Erdogan was acting confused, perhaps under the pressure of Syrian migrants. He abandoned his previous Zero Problems policy. Now he seems to have recovered. Productive negotiations with both Israel and Russia.
The latter is especially important. Europe is failing, and Europe has never been Turkey's friend. Russia is on the upswing, and Russia can be Turkey's friend. I don't know why Erdogan went off his path, but it's GOOD that he's back.
7/15 update: Well, we have a partial explanation now. He abandoned Zero Problems to keep the military happy. When he returned to Zero, the military got REAL MAD. Armies need problems to justify their budgets. This still doesn't explain WHY Erdogan decided to switch back.
We are the Axis.
UN is running a propaganda campaign to "do something" about the refugees that OUR wars have created. Needless to say, UN doesn't suggest that we should STOP ATTACKING every country except Israel. No, UN only wants to help us destroy our own people by forcing the refugees from OUR wars onto OUR people. All XENOPHOBE BUFFOONS must be slaughtered to make room for refugees.
Meanwhile, the same empire continues to bash Turkey for "human rights violations" because Turkey is TROLL. We don't mention the fact that Turkey has been housing and feeding millions of Syrian refugees without any help.
I suppose there's some justice in this on a national level, except that the people who are attacked and raped and murdered and disemployed by refugees are NOT the same people who make the wars. The imperial dynasties and their courtiers are never raped or attacked or disemployed.
I've already run the numbers on war deaths to parse out Hillary's kill record. She killed 265,000 people during her term as SecState. Now let's try an estimate for the refugees. It's harder to pin these numbers down because many "refugees" are not really fleeing wars; they're escaping from a bad economy or crime. Also, the war deaths are separated by year, so I could parse out Hillary's exact contribution. These refugee numbers are cumulative totals. Nevertheless we can say that Hillary is fully responsible for Libya, Ukraine and Syria; and partly responsible for maintaining our wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and Somalia and Sudan. She is NOT responsible for the long-running wars in Central Africa, Congo, Burundi, etc. Those wars started and continued with no major US connection.
Total refugees from the countries that fully or partly belong to Hillary:
Afghan 2.6mil
Iraq 246k
Libya only 6k ???
Somalia 1.1m
Sudan 1.5m
Syria 4.8m
Ukraine 300k
-----
Total 10.5m
Hooray for Hillary! Hooray for Genocide!
265000 dead, 10.5 million refugees!
Quite a wonderful record, especially compared to TROLL Trump's miserable ZERO in both departments.
Note: The Libya number seems absurdly small, considering that Libya has been a major source of the refugees passing through Italy into Germany and UK; but no way to find better numbers.
Earlier in the day, Dimitris Avramopoulos, the EU’s migration commissioner, announced plans to deploy RABITS – Rapid Border Intervention Teams – to states facing chaos on their borders that request help. The units are comprised of armed border guards from other member states, who wear blue arm bands with the EU logo on. “This measure will strengthen controls while respecting the dignity and rights of refugees. We are defending Schengen,” he said.
CS Lewis, thou shouldst be living at this hour. Europe hath need of thee.
In fairness, it appears that EU is finally, WAY TOO LATE, doing a microscrap of the right thing. Finally HELPING TURKEY, which has been FEEDING AND HOUSING TWO MILLION refugees from neighboring Syria for more than a year. Up till now, EU has only been mocking and stirring up revolts in SANE Turkey.
22 DAYS SINCE START OF FINAL PURGE.
Even Satan doesn't like whiners
One of my father's jokes, used when I was bitching about some First World Problem:
"Doctor! Doctor! My little finger was shot off in the battle!"
"Stop crying, soldier. See that private over there? His head was shot off in the battle, and he's not complaining."
Writing it now, I suddenly suspect 'little finger' was a family-friendly edit. My father made similar edits in songs like Barnacle Bill. Nevertheless, the joke is still a good response to First World Whining.
Europe is FWW about the 'little finger' of a half million Arab migrants, DISTRIBUTED AMONG 20 COUNTRIES.
Turkey has been housing, feeding and educating THREE MILLION Syrian refugees, and he's not complaining.
The distinction is especially grinding because US/UK/EU STARTED THESE WARS, while Turkey didn't even participate until just a few weeks ago.
But how about Syria's nearest neighbor Israel, you might ask? Well, of course Israel is not taking ANY refugees. Instead, Israel is building walls. But I thought walls were bizarre and goofball ideas? No, that's only for walls built by unIsrael. When Israel builds walls they are Necessary and Ethical.
Is anyone considering the possibility of urging Israel to accept some refugees from the FUCKING WAR THAT IT STARTED? No, no, no, of course not. What a bizarre and goofball notion. Why do you even ask? Israel is the Law Producer For The World. All other countries are Law Consumers. Israel creates all Laws, all Wars, all Ethics. Israel receives all Money in return for its most Nobel and most Moral and most Ethical leadership. Others bend over and obey.
Many businesses in Greece have started to accept Turkish lira and Bulgarian leva while the country has started to run out of euros, according to reports. The EU Observer and the Financial Times reported on Thursday that accepting the neighbors' currencies have been very common in Greece, especially in retail and the tourism industry.
Makes sense. Greece, in its attempt to gain fake glory, tied its fate to the EU criminals. Now that the criminals are tired of using Greece, those competent dull square non-criminal neighbors suddenly look better. Legit stuff is no fun when you're high.
But does Turkey want to get involved in this?
"I think the direct implications for Turkey from the 'Grexit' are limited. Trade ties with Greece are small, as are direct financial ties (except the subsidiary of one Greek bank). So as long as problems remain contained to Greece, there is unlikely to be much impact on Turkey," said William Jackson, emerging markets economist.
Especially noteworthy when you look at a map. Turkey and Greece are not just neighbors, their
boundaries are literally interleaved on the islands between them.
How to succeed: Self-sufficiency. Be what you are. MAKE THINGS. Don't fuck around with criminals.
ZERO FUCKING PROBLEMS. Turkey.
This is not a problem just of Greece. Greece is not an isolated case. It just represents a more general friction of opposition between two different visions of Europe – a Europe of austerity and a Europe looking back to its old social model. We don’t want to continue this road of austerity because it’s a spiral of death: Recession, new austerity measures, new unemployment, again new measures. We have seen that the last five years. This doesn’t work, we want to change it. We are ready to negotiate with our partners, but not to continue on a road that clearly leads to nothing good for the Greek people.
A classic piece of bad thinking. We can learn from it.
First, austerity is an intentional conflation of two separate words. As I discussed before, austerity=frugality is not the same thing as austerity=LBO. Greece got into its current mess because it was NOT frugal. The current mess is an LBO by Germany. If Greece had been austere=frugal, its limited productivity would have supported a limited and sustainable lifestyle. It wouldn't have invited an LBO. It would have been living within its means, with a cushion of national savings. When you have savings, you can do the 'social model' to some extent, again carefully and frugally. Trying to do the 'social model' without savings guarantees a takeover.
Austerity=frugality is the ONLY way any country or household or business can succeed in the long run. Living on debt makes you vulnerable to the household or corporate or national versions of LBO.
Second, if Greece had been independent, the delusion of 'social model' wouldn't have been possible. Greece would have been forced into frugality many years ago, as its neighbor Turkey was. Greece would have found ways to MAKE THINGS that the world wanted. As Turkey did.
This is directly parallel to the balcony collapse. Real-world math again. Do you think it's a good idea to place your car or your country on a structure that depends entirely on leverage? Or would you rather place your car or country on solid ground?
Artistic sidenote: Granted, the cliff in back is far from ideal solid ground. Just waiting for a good rainstorm ... But I wanted to show the two cars at the same height with different types of support, different 'potential energies'. Couldn't think of a better alternative except maybe a pyramid, which would look weird in this context.
Erdogan loses some powerHis party no longer has a majority, so he'll have to form a coalition or call a new election soon.
Probably a good thing. Erdogan has been an EXEMPLARY leader for a long time. Best national leader in the world. He created a REAL-VALUE economy domestically and implemented ZERO PROBLEMS in foreign affairs. But he seems to have gone a little senile in the last year or so, doing some odd things that create problems instead of solving.
Turkey is lucky to have a parliamentary system that can quickly toss out or moderate a party that no longer serves well.
Wonder what that feels like? Competent leadership and adaptable government are extremely difficult concepts for an American to grasp. We had competent leadership exactly once under FDR, but we've never had an adaptable or responsive government.
