Not gonna spend much time on this one. A flagrant and STUPID attempt to reclaim territory for the Enlightenment craziness about "rights" and "equality". Real science abandoned the craziness 30 years ago and finally admitted that genes exist.

Just one gratingly obvious logical error will do.

Children are masters of imitation. Copying parents and other adults is how they learn about their social world – about the facial expressions and body movements that allow them to communicate, gain approval and avoid rejection. Imitation has such a powerful influence on development, for good and ill, that child-protection agencies across the world run campaigns reminding parents to be role models. If you don’t want your kids to scream at other children, don’t scream at them.

The conventional view, inside and outside academia, is that children are ‘wired’ to imitate. We are ‘Homo imitans’, animals born with a burning desire to copy the actions of others. Imitation is ‘in our genes’. Birds build nests, cats miaow, pigs are greedy, while humans possess an instinct to imitate.

Conventional views are often false, but this conventional view happens to be true. In your attempt to disprove it, you prove it.

However, cracks began to appear in Meltzoff and Moore’s picture as soon as it was published in Science magazine – and they have been spreading ever since in fine but disfiguring lines. From the outset, some other experts on child development were unable to replicate the crucial results. They found that newborns copied sticking out their tongues, but not other facial gestures – so perhaps instead of an elaborate imitation mechanism, it was a simple reflex in response to excitement.

Sounds like a disproof....

What we’re left with instead is a wealth of evidence that humans learn to imitate in much the same way as we pick up other social skills.

There's the key problem. You just admitted that learning to imitate is innate.

The imitation ITSELF may not be innate, but the ABILITY TO LEARN HOW TO IMITATE is.

It's a distinction without a difference, and wildly illogical.

If you want to claim that learning how to imitate is also learned, you'll then have to prove that learning how to learn how to imitate is learned, and then learning how to learn how to learn how to .....

Secondarily, the role-model notion ("If you don’t want your kids to scream at other children, don’t scream at them.") is a failure, but NOT because imitation doesn't work. It's a failure because genes do work. Violence runs in families because a strong tendency to violence is innate. It's a complex mix of genes, so the inheritance is mixed and variable, nowhere near 100%. Assortative mating helps to keep it going. People who are comfortable with violence tend to stick together.

  Easy to see
Mitochondria are the main 'digesters' in a cell, and also get involved in other activities. They're especially numerous in the axon (output) of a neuron, where they help to generate the neurotransmitter chemicals that trigger a response in the dendrite (input) of other neurons.



Because neurons are semi-permanent, only regenerating at certain times and places, they need more maintenance than disposable skin cells. So the health of all internal parts is crucial.

Via ScienceDaily, a new finding by researchers who are focusing on the role of mitochondria in Parkinson's.

When mitochondria become damaged, they avoid causing further problems by signaling cellular proteins to degrade them. In a new study, scientists report that they have discovered how the cells trigger this process, which is called mitophagy. In cells with broken mitochondria, two proteins -- NIPSNAP 1 and NIPSNAP 2 -- accumulate on the mitochondrial surface, functioning as 'eat me' signals, recruiting the cellular machinery that will destroy them.

It's easy to see how this mechanism developed by random selection.

The 'eat me' signal was always present on mitochondria, but until the 'eating' mechanism happened to develop by random selection, cells didn't survive.... Oops.

Try again. Random selection developed the 'eater' that knew how to read the 'eat me' proteins, and then these cells died because excess unproductive mitochondria piled up, until after billions of years and billions of mutations in these cells that didn't survive in the first place, one lucky mitochondrion learned to produce the particular protein that signaled 'eat me'. This lucky mitochondrion was then immediately eaten, so its lucky talent didn't get passed on to the mitochondria in the cells that didn't exist because they hadn't survived in the first place. Ooops.

One of Polistra's Laws: There's no such thing as an Unintended Consequence. Powerful people and governments know what they're doing. You won't always see what they're doing because you're only supposed to see the parts that drive you to perform your assigned task, which may be "voting" or protesting or donating money.

Still, sometimes you have to wonder....

The latest crackdown on truth by Krauts seems to be fantastically stupid and pointless. The Kraut dysgovernment now requires publishers to eliminate heresy IMMEDIATELY on the receipt of EVEN ONE COMPLAINT.

This rule will be remarkably easy to destroy. If heretics have any sense at all, they will work together to submit massive piles of complaints against orthodox speech, and more importantly against trivial and uncontroversial speech. Snitch on Sorosians, snitch on Kardashians.

Because the publishers have to respond INSTANTLY, they won't be able to analyze the direction of the complaints. They will have to eliminate the orthodox and trivial comments along with the heretical comments that will be algomatically censored.

Result: No speech at all. Nothing to carry advertising to eyeballs.

INQUISITIONS END WHEN THEY BURN THE WRONG PEOPLE.

This countertactic is so absurdly obvious that I can't believe the dysgovernment didn't foresee it. There must be a countercounter. I guess we'll see it when it happens.

Well, that didn't take long. Later the same day, the mess is already starting ... even without any effort by heretics! A sane German politician made a harsh comment about Muslims. Overgeneralized but basically valid in the context of the forced migration. Twitter instantly deleted the politician's account as the law requires. Nobody complained. A Kraut "satire" magazine, following the universal tradition of "satire" by burning heretics in especially colorful flames, requoted the original comment as part of the colorful flames. Twitter automatically banned the magazine as the law requires. Now the rule-makers are worried. Needless to say, they're not worried about their own tyranny, and they're not worried about their own forced invasion by foreign migrants violating Kraut laws, which caused victims of migrant crime to express anger. They're worried because Twitter is a foreign invader who obeys Kraut laws. Can't make it up.

Their association with racial oppression, human subjugation and white supremacy does not belong in the sacred fabric of this Cathedral.

Third: A lesson in logic. If you think "Silence is violence" can be used rationally to judge and train correct behavior, you need to stop and think about what you're measuring. Baselines and deltas. If you're punishing NOT-X, how do you know which X the heretic is negating?

WHICH SILENCE are you punishing? When the heretic keeps his mouth shut, how do you know he's being silent ABOUT your favorite topic of this millisecond? The latest mess about the tiny and mostly fake faction of "neo-Nazis" takes the genetic contradiction to a new peak.

The "anti-fascists" are clearly and unconflictedly opposed to every aspect of Natural Law, while the "neo-Nazis", if they exist, are clearly and unconflictedly in favor of traditional culture and Natural Law.

If you favor Natural Law, you should favor Africans and Muslims above all, and you should want to exterminate Scandinavians. Africans and Muslims have never moved away from traditional family rules and morality. Scandinavians turned tradition upside down 100 years ago and have continually raised the bar on bizarre suicidal evil since then.

That would include shrinking the number of lawmakers in both houses of parliament -- 577 in the lower house National Assembly and 348 in the Senate -- by a third, saying it would have "positive effects on the general quality of parliamentary work".

Looks like I'm stuck on a theme today.

Still thinking about the origin of zero as a mark for an empty column or an empty slot.

Pluponents are not satisfied with filling the Correct column entirely and emptying the Heretic column entirely. When a mediasatan like BBC or CNN runs quality control, checking itself for balance and bias, the check always finds insufficient balance. This means that the stories and columns, which are already EXACTLY 100% EVIL AND EXACTLY 0% TRUTH, must go farther IN THE SAME DIRECTION. Balance means MORE THAN 100% EVIL and LESS THAN 0% TRUTH.

If the physical medium was expandable, the first part would be achievable. Just write more evil. But the medium itself is finite. A broadcast day has 86400 seconds. Can't make more. Media webpages are standardized, with a fixed number of pixels available. A newspaper page has a fixed maximum number of characters.

In theory you could jam in more by speeding up the speech or using finer print and smaller fonts, but that's not practical. You want your evil to inject properly into the minds of your minions, so it needs to be legible and comprehensible.

What vain thing do the satans imagine? How does MORE THAN 100% EVIL look in their demonic vision? What does LESS THAN ZERO TRUTH look like? What is MORE EMPTY THAN EMPTY? Negative numbers won't serve here. Adding negative truth is the same thing as adding more evil, which is already maxed out.

  Why is it so annoying?
I may have said this before in a more implicit way, but it struck me sharply today.

Even after plenty of SHOULD-BE LESSONS, Trump continues blogging instead of ruling. He comments that people are leaking, but he doesn't arrest them or fire them. He comments that Germany is Very Bad, but he doesn't solve our own end of the Very Badness. He bashes the fake media but hasn't revoked any licenses or arrested or shot any "journalists". (The minimal correct solution is to shoot ALL "journalists.") He says that his own press agent Spicer is "getting beat up" but doesn't replace Spicer.

Ordinary competent adults DO THE JOB. We may bitch and groan WHILE we do our jobs, and we may not do our jobs well or eagerly, but we don't bitch and groan INSTEAD of doing our jobs.

I don't see any indication that Trump is DOING the job he was hired to do. EPA is still ruining entire cities because of bizarre delusions. The Weather bureau is still praising Gaia. Black-robed monsters are still committing mass murder on civilization. The military is still bombing every country except Israel. The Federal Reserve is still holding interest rates at zero. No bankers have been punished. Only a couple dozen federal employees have been fired. Goldman is still in charge of the economy, Soros still runs our culture, and Saudi still runs our foreign policy.

The rest of us are bitching about the situation because we CAN'T DO A FUCKING THING ABOUT IT. We tried to do the job assigned to us as "citizens" in a "democracy". We tried to "vote". It didn't make any fucking difference. Now the ONE MAN who could actually DO THE JOB is just sitting back and bitching along with the rest of us.

It's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay beyond crazy.

First paragraph:

Eating loads of fruit and vegetables - 10 portions a day - may give us longer lives, say researchers. The study, by Imperial College London, calculated such eating habits could prevent 7.8 million premature deaths each year.

Calculated? 7.8 million? Why not get more precise? 7,843,671.49 premature deaths sounds more scientific.

But did they actually calculate? Later paragraph:

The researchers do not know if eating even more fruit and veg would have even greater health benefits as there is little evidence out there to review.

Got it. Little evidence, therefore we MUST do it.

Admittedly the article has one marginally good point. Unlike most nutrition crap, it specifies the meaning of "portion"......

A portion counts as 80g (3oz) of fruit or veg - the equivalent of a small banana, a pear or three heaped tablespoons of spinach or peas.

This only makes the nonsense more obvious. If you eat ten bananas or ten pears or 30 tablespoons of peas, you're going to get sick.

  Really dumb idea
This has to be the dumbest health policy idea since Romneycare.

Precisely because it is so hard to regulate and prevent the spread of these pseudo-scientific non-treatments, we should be cracking down on one of their lucrative revenue streams by ending the tax-free status of workplace benefits plans that cover them. People should, at the very least, have to pay tax on pseudo-scientific treatments covered by their benefits plans.

Basic problem: The usual definition of "pseudoscientific" is totally independent of actual science. It's purely a matter of fashion and status and grants.

Electrotherapy (magnetic fields or passing current through the body) was normal and mainstream from 1840 to 1920, then pseudoscientific quackery from 1920 through 1980, now normal and mainstream again. Psychiatry has been totally and definitively disproved from the start, but it continues to be "scientific" because the Tribe owns it. Diet advice switches back and forth at a dizzying pace. A doctor who tells you to avoid fat is "scientific" today, "pseudo" tomorrow, "scientific" the next day.

What happens if you tax a bad treatment for a while, then "learn" that the same treatment is now good and necessary? Do you refund the taxes from the bad time? Conversely, do you retroactively tax a treatment that has switched from necessity to quackery?

Police in Denmark have ARRESTED a Korean girl who is the daughter of the Korean prime minister's friend. What crime did this girl commit? Supposedly she got into a prestigious university because she was the daughter of the prime minister's friend.

This makes no sense at all, especially for Denmark. The Korean prime minister is a powerful woman, and her supposedly corrupt friend is also a powerful woman. Denmark, the HOME of lesbian haggery and gender-free insanity, would normally be PROTECTING these women.

Even without the hypocrisy, the basic facts are crazy.

Everyone gets into prestigious universities by some form of influence or nepotism. THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT OF PRESTIGIOUS UNIVERSITIES. They serve to verify and certify your genetic status. We have replaced noble titles like Duke and Marquis with noble titles like PhD and LLD and MD.

Even if you choose to call this normal procedure a crime, the daughter wasn't the one who committed the "crime". She was the beneficiary of the "crime".

Why does being the beneficiary of a nonexistent "crime" justify an international arrest with extradition?

I've previously noted the 1946 attempted coup by globalists. WW2 defeated globalists who had been running Germany and Japan, so the idea was discredited everywhere. Globalists like Bernard Baruch didn't enjoy being discredited, and tried to bring back the joy through weapons like James Byrnes and Norman Corwin and Phillip Morrison.

The media and "science" were fully infested by globalist venom. Most Americans didn't seem to notice. Truman, acting under the influence of Byrnes, implemented real and bloody globalism in Korea, and Americans finally noticed. They kicked out Truman and brought in the comparatively non-globalist Ike.

Robert Ripley was an expert showman and a globalist but not a very sharp thinker. His show had previously embarked on stupid and pointless "crusades" like globalizing all traffic laws to cut traffic deaths. A better thinker would have been advocating SEAT BELTS, which were already familiar and already known to save lives.

In 1948 Ripley visited Hiroshima and issued this grotesque and illogical piece of Corwin-style propaganda. This episode isn't online for free as far as I can tell, and the sound quality is poor, so I'll just do a rough transcript. I've marked and numbered paragraphs for reference.

(4) I am standing now on the spot where the atomic bomb exploded. I am standing on the famous shadow bridge, so called because the bridge left the shadow of a [???] on the [???] stones. Here in the center of the city two rivers meet. I am standing on the bridge, and above my head was the exploding point of the bomb. Before me stands a ruined [???] of a steel dome that was once the Exposition Building. This building, the largest in Hiroshima, was the target of the bomb, and it will never be repaired, they tell me, and will always be kept as it is, as a monument not to violence but to peace.

(5) But as they say, home is where the heart is, and the heart is strong, and now people are coming back again to build small shacks and establish homes once more among the wreckage. The scars of the wreckage are being covered with vegetable gardens. To the left of me, I see a little patch of ground being cultivated by a man, where an office building once stood. To the right of me, an old fellow with a wicker basket on his head is picking grass from what was once a main street. In the distance I can see a group of Japanese boys playing baseball on a lot where once a big apartment house stood.

(6) The people here seem happy, and [????] never forget what happened here, they all seem well fed, and no wonder because Hiroshima is on the shores of the famous inland Sea of Japan, which abounds with fish. I can see a fishing junk [????] now. The tide is out and over to my left are hundreds of women who have waded out to catch mussels and other shellfish on the mudflats. The [farm fields?] which were white and seared with fire, now they're turning green again with little terrace farms, and trees are growing once more.

By number:

(1) Who started the war? You seem to think we did.

(2) History held its breath? Why didn't history hold its breath during the 40 years when Japan was robbing and raping and murdering half of Asia, killing and enslaving many millions?

(3) Japan killed more than 250k in just one area of China, punishing the locals for refusing to turn over an American pilot who crashed there.

(4) Monument to peace? How did the peace happen? It didn't happen because of Baruch. It happened because of the bomb, AND because Russia immediately showed the Japs that the bomb wasn't the end of the war. A fresh new war awaited them if they didn't surrender.

(5) Nice to see that you respect Jap hearts. How about respecting the hearts and homes of the Chinese and Filipinos and Koreans who were slaughtered and enslaved by the Japs from 1905 to 1945?

(6) If the atom bomb was such a history-ending unique phenomenon, how come Nature was returning in abundance, WHICH YOU OBSERVED AND DESCRIBED, just three years after the end of history?

The plain and simple fact is that war is always horrible. Atomic war is not exponentially worse than other kinds of war. Even in Japan, our attacks with non-atomic Thermite did vastly more damage than the atom bomb. But there was never an anti-Thermite or anti-fire movement. Why?

For many years Global Warming has been boogey-punctuation. It's the required period on all sentences describing a bad event.

... caused by poor maintenance AND GLOBAL WARMING.

... caused by strikes, unemployment AND GLOBAL WARMING.

... caused by defective airbags AND GLOBAL WARMING.

Now Trump has become the Second Boogey-period for all bad phenomena.

Will GLOBAL WARMING fade to allow the superior evil of AND TRUMP to take over? No. In a normal process of syntactic pleonasm, the middle part would fade, but there's nothing normal about these monsters.

I'm thoroughly puzzled, even gobsmacked, by two similar public actions in the last few days.

(1) Paul Ryan's statement that he could support Trump but I'm not ready.

(2) Craig Wright's claim that he could prove his authorship of Bitcoin but I do not have the courage. I cannot.


Both of these men are professionals. Both have been working in their own fields for an entire adult lifetime. They aren't brash newcomers. Nobody would listen if they were.

Lifelong professionals don't back away from decisions this way. When asked to do a long and difficult job, a pro may give a cautious promise like "I can make this happen, but I can't guarantee completion in the required time." If he can't do the job at all, he simply says "I can't do this." Refusing a job quickly, so the client can find someone else to do it, is part of professional behavior.

But these two specific "jobs" are NOT long and complex.

Supporting or opposing a candidate is an instant decision. When you're inside the loop like Ryan, you know all the necessary facts and consequences. It's not even a decision as such.

The proof of authorship is also instant. If you have the correct PGP key and the knowledge connected with it, you can send it in a few seconds. If you don't have the PGP key, you can't do anything at all. It's not a question of courage.

Do or do not. There is no Schrödinger.
