Pleopleonasm
This stupid headline helped me to notice a trend. Should have put it together earlier.
For many years Global Warming has been boogey-punctuation. It's the required period on all sentences describing a bad event.
... caused by poor maintenance AND GLOBAL WARMING.
... caused by strikes, unemployment AND GLOBAL WARMING.
... caused by defective airbags AND GLOBAL WARMING.
Now Trump has become the Second Boogey-period for all bad phenomena.
... caused by poor maintenance AND GLOBAL WARMING AND TRUMP.
... caused by strikes, unemployment AND GLOBAL WARMING AND TRUMP.
... caused by defective airbags AND GLOBAL WARMING AND TRUMP.
Will GLOBAL WARMING fade to allow the superior evil of AND TRUMP to take over? No. In a normal process of syntactic pleonasm, the middle part would fade, but there's nothing normal about these monsters.
