Antichrist Bergoglio is
confusing and demoralizing Christians again, which is Antichrist's job. Shouldn't be surprising. This particular confusion seems to be more perplexing than some of his previous satanizations.
Rome has always misread the Commandments to serve its own evil ends.
For 1000 years Rome has been "justifying" the vices and wealth of its priests and bishops by retrofitting their vices into the Gospels.
Misreading "thou shalt not murder" is fully in character, and it's not surprising that Bergoglio has now welded the misread into the Catechism.
But down to basics: Is the misread valid advice? Is capital punishment
as currently applied a bad idea? Yes, but not quite in the way Bergoglio and previous bishops mean it.
Fact: The death penalty works properly when applied INSTANTLY, or damn near instantly. It deters other criminals who see the IMMEDIATE AND CERTAIN connection between a criminal act and a dead criminal.
In earlier eras we applied it damn near instantly, with trials a few days after the crime and execution a few days after the trial. Our totally insane "court" system has gradually allowed the connection to dissolve, so that in practice a "death sentence" means a life sentence with first-class accommodations and a lifetime subsidized career for several lawyers.
In compensation for this failure, police have found it necessary to apply the death sentence IMMEDIATELY AND IRREVERSIBLY. No appeal, no escape, no lawyers. They are more likely to kill a criminal IN THE ACT now than previously.
This is how capital punishment should work. IMMEDIATELY. We pushed justice out of the system, and justice found its way back in.
Thanks, Ralph!
