A more specific instance of the peculiar blindness of our elites, their total lack of empathy, which fortunately cancels out their attempts at propaganda.
Economoids and Tech Tyrants constantly tell us that the period from 1939 to 1974, the time when ordinary Americans had a chance to live a normal life, was a bizarre exception to the norm. They tell us that the current Gilded Age 2.0 is the norm.
Stop and think. Ordinary Americans are suffering. We know now that our suffering arises from the system that makes Economoids and Tech Tyrants supersuperwealthy and supersuperpowerful. E and T tell us that the current situation is the best part of capitalism, and tell us that capitalism is the best of all possible systems.
Wrong twice.
The current system is pure predation, pure genocide. E and T are intentionally starving us to build their own private Utopia.
If this is the norm of capitalism, as E and T insist, then capitalism is the worst of all possible systems FOR US. Obviously it's the best FOR THEM.
Not effective propaganda, to put it mildly.
