Good advice from an obscure source
Around 1920, "Social" "science" split away from the original goal of analyzing and perfecting techniques of persuasion. The academic side got in bed with Deepstate and began serving the tyrannical forms of persuasion, designing and staffing torture chambers, and planning genocides.

The real craft and science of non-violent persuasion stayed on the commercial side, in the skills of advertising and marketing.

Here's some REAL SOCIAL SCIENCE from an obscure source found (naturally) at American Radio History Library. This 1944 book of hints and templates for commercial writers was written by Marynelle Williams, an expert commercial writer, who clearly understood and EMPATHIZED with both the writers and the customers.

General advice about attention:

A listener has TWO ears . . . he only listens with half of ONE! Maybe it's because commercials are directed to a twelve-year-old mind. You can't sell somebody something when you begin wounding his intellect! It's a vicious cycle. Or, more probably, he pays little attention to the commercial because it doesn't DEMAND attention . . . it isn't CLEVER enough . . . it doesn't FLATTER the listener into listening, because it doesn't appeal to his intelligence.

Arthur Brisbane said "I have written a good editorial when the reader says "that is just what I would have written myself." And you can accomplish the same thing if you tackle commercial radio copy delicately, but with common sense and truthfulness.

In reality, there is only ONE selling point in any advertising business . . . the imaginative mind must state it untold numbers of ways. It is this: People can be persuaded to try a product ONCE, but only GENUINE SATISFACTION will make them CONTINUE to buy it, day-in, day-out . . . year-in, year-out.

In other words, only EXPERIENCE changes minds, but if you're respectful and truthful and empathetic, you might be able to start an EXPERIENCE with a sample.

From a section aimed at stations in rural areas:

A farmer deals with the soil, and you can't fool him with golden-voiced oratory and clever phrases. You approach him on his own terms . . . putting yourself in his position, whatever you're selling him. He knows that a state-tested flock of chickens are a better gamble than more inexpensive, unselected ones . . . he knows the advisability of buying seed, feed and fertilizer by brand name. Therefore, he'll listen to your story, and, in his unhurried, reasonable way, he'll come around to your way of thinking if you talk in commonsense, down-to-earth . . . but NOT PATRONIZING language. Remember that a farmer is subconsciously en garde where city slickers are concerned anyway, and you've got to be sincere in what you write.

People who work with Nature can't be fooled.

I guess in some ways it's good that our persuaders have forgotten this advice. Arrogant bigoted EXTREME CONDESCENSION has led to a healthy counter-reaction, and healthy independent thought.

... And maybe I shouldn't be reminding anyone of the better way to persuade.

Convective contrarian thought on the 'no blood for oil' nonsense.

In previous item I debunked one end of this nonsense, but there's a similar problem on the other end.

Progressives used to be loudly anti-war when the war was owned by a Repooflican, and quiet on the subject when the war was owned by a Democrat.

Now Progressives are TOTALLY PRO-WAR without any partisan branding. Even the wars that are owned by Trump are NECESSARY AND HOLY. This is genuinely unprecedented.

Cognitive Dissonance:

All wars are necessary! Bomb everything down to bedrock (except Saudi and Israel)!

VERSUS

No blood for oil! Stop the war!



What's the solution to this dilemma? Understand the FACT that our wars are AGAINST oil.

In other words, modern wars are Gaian. The Planet Goddess says that oil is bad, so we are making war to halt all oil production (except Saudi, which is automatically holy).

Shit. I've given the enemy a way to avoid their own dilemma and clean up their CD. Shit.

Unsurprising. I'm not really sure who Ben Shapiro is, but I get the impression from Youtube's Suggested For You that he's popular among "conservatives". Gonzaga has been the dark center of the modern Inquisition for a long time. It even has a Department of "Hate" "Studies" to cultivate and develop young Inquisitors.

I've been pushing back against conservative whining recently, chanting Put Up Or Shut Up. You're NOT going to win by trying to work inside enemy lines. It's worse than futile. Every "conservative" speaker on campus strengthens the Sorosians, gives them a reason to raise more money and gain more supporters. Find alternate media, find alternate places to talk.

Here's a contrary thought from a longer perspective.

In the long run those Gonzaga monsters will be well prepared to serve as Inquisitors but NOT well prepared to live an ordinary life. They will be accustomed to a perfectly one-sided set of inputs. They will never hear a single word that deviates in the slightest from pure Soros. They will be unable to defend their beliefs in a less sheltered situation, unable to make rational decisions in work and neighborhoods. In real life you have to do business with lots of folks who are not EXACTLY LIKE YOU. Even if you can get an ideal job in a NGO serving Die-Verse Peoples, you will find that Persons Of Colour and Firstses Nationses Indigenouses Peopleseses have extremely unfashionable ideas about gender variability and marriage and religion. You will run away screaming.

In the long run a student who skips college entirely will be VASTLY BETTER PREPARED for real life.

Fighting a war requires strengthening your own side and weakening the other side. When the other side is weakening itself, DON'T TRY TO FIX IT. We do not have a duty to cure the enemy's problems. Let Gonzaga students dissolve their own brains. They will be useless.

Both perspectives lead to the same decision. Immediately, attempting to "offer an alternate viewpoint" gives the fashionable side more money and members, so you shouldn't do it. In the long run, attempting to "offer an alternate viewpoint" could help to prepare the enemy for real life, so you shouldn't do it.

Clumsy title, but I can't find a more graceful sentence form. This time the salient event isn't the lack of barking, it's the lack of barking AT a particular target.

I was reading an article about Studebaker's Dictator model in the '20s and '30s. The author was puzzled as usual about American acceptance of the name. As usual I was thinking: No puzzle. Americans were NON-INTERVENTIONIST and NON-IDEOLOGICAL at that time. We minded our own business and didn't expect the world to copy our thoughts exactly. We understood that PEOPLE ARE DIFFERENT, and we also understood that the proper role of government is to PROTECT AND ADVANCE THE INTERESTS OF THE PEOPLE. Dictators were doing the job well in some countries, so we found the title admirable.

At that time Italy was not a threat of any kind to America. Italy was a threat to Libya. (Contrast left as exercise for reader.)

Wait! Italy is not a threat to America now, but Salvini IS a meddler and hacker and interferer in EXACTLY THE SAME WAY AS PUTIN.

Mueller defined a traitorous conspiracy as "favoring non-Hillary candidates and disparaging Hillary." Not my parodic misinterpretation, his explicit LEGAL definition. Disparaging Hillary is MEDDLING HACKING INTERFERENCE CONSPIRACY TREASON WAR.

Salvini is MEDDLING in the same way that Putin and Orban are meddling. All are providing an EXAMPLE of governments that serve their people, which we can compare with our dysgovernment that is busy SLAUGHTERING US by the million and EXTERMINATING other countries by the dozen.

Why isn't Deepstate barking at Salvini, who is closer to America ethnically and linguistically than Hungary and Russia? Lots of Americans are Italian, and very few are Russian or Hungarian. Italian culture and Italian food are mainstream American. Salvini should thus be seen as a more potent and more dangerous MEDDLER than Putin and Orban.

Deepstate is incalculably wicked AND incalculably brainless. The brainless part is a blessing in some backhanded way, since it means Deepstate doesn't know how to slaughter ALL Deplorables effectively and efficiently.

Bill Maher, the host of HBO's long-running late night talk show "Real Time", took a few minutes out of his show Friday night to respond to the backlash to a segment from last week's show where he voiced his hope that the US economy takes a nosedive into recession in the relatively near future, because - as Maher argued - a recession is the only thing that will help get rid of Trump by "eroding his popularity."

YOU UNSPEAKABLE IDIOT. WE ALREADY HAVE A DEPRESSION, WHICH HAS BEEN CONSTANT IN MANY PLACES FOR 30 FUCKING YEARS. THAT'S EXACTLY WHY TRUMP'S CAMPAIGN WAS POPULAR.

I suppose Maher, who is purebred Tribal, is thinking solely in Tribal terms. The Tribe is enjoying a LONG glorious ecstatic economic orgasm, and Trump's real actions (as opposed to Trump's fake scampaign) have CONTINUED AND EXPANDED the alien Tribal orgasm at the expense of humans.

Vastly enjoying the epidemic of autonomous Tesla crashes. Love love love love LOVE to see idiot theories disproved by killing the idiots who believe the idiot theories. PERFECT justice.

Noticing one common factor: In every one of these crashes, there's a long unmarked white wall on one side of the road. A cement barrier, a guard rail, a long white semi-trailer. The Tesla seems to have an unquenchable desire to drive INTO those walls.

Another interesting quora.com question: When in prison, do you still have to file taxes?

Caught my attention because I just finished filling out 1040 and paying taxes on my software royalties and Social Security.

The answer in theory is yes, as spec'd by the answerers so far.

In practice no, and not just because it's unenforceable!

Very few prisoners have legitimate income that could continue in prison because the criminal lifestyle is all debt and no savings, all taking and no making. So the 99%ile criminal won't have dividends from a mutual fund or royalties from a publisher. When I was in jail at age 19, I hadn't MADE ANYTHING USEFUL yet, so I didn't have any royalties.

IF I HAD BEEN MAKING THINGS INSTEAD OF GOING TO COLLEGE, I WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN IN PRISON AT ALL.

It was college, both the craziness of theoretical classes and the loneliness of a low-status Deplorable, that drove me to do illegal things like owning a few seeds of a prohibited plant. ("Prohibited plant" is yet another crazy theory.)

So the taxation question is mutually exclusive and self-nulling. If your life has created income that might be taxable in prison, you aren't going to BE in prison.

There are a countable handful of giant asshole exceptions like Martin Shkreli, but they aren't exceptions on the moral level. Shkreli's income is entirely from taking, not making. His crime was running a billion-dollar racket without belonging to the correct Tribe.

The quora answers also mentioned that all barter exchanges are theoretically taxable, as per IRS Pub 525. Fat chance.

Here's a hint for the Sorosian prison activists. You could expose a WHOLE LOT of evil shit that goes on in prison by organizing all prisoners to file PRECISELY DETAILED 1040s and 1099s for all barter activities. List every single sex act plus the price in smokes or ramen or mack. List every day of protection from sex acts, plus the payment. List every debt that was canceled by a beating, and define the fair market value of a beating. FILE IT AND PILE IT. All of the data would then be part of IRS records, nondiscardable and FOIA-able.

I hate your goals, but this would accomplish a virtuous goal along with the Sorosian evil.

Why hasn't Deepstate abolished juries?

In practice jury trials are rare, about 5% of all trials... but this ISN'T because Deepstate consciously tried to eliminate them. It's just a practical and sane response to basic facts.

Fact: 95% of crimes are so fucking obvious that even the criminal doesn't want to argue about it. Requiring every case to run through a jury would waste an ungodly amount of time on fake discussion of absolute certainty.

Plea bargaining works because pro criminals understand that juries will give them harder time. As I observed in my three jury services, young cocky amateur criminals often believe they can beat the lowly squares until they stand in the courtroom and FACE a hundred pairs of hostile eyes. The cockiness wilts and the lawyer (who certainly knew what would happen) is ready to start the plea process.

In short, this is a NATURAL self-sorting system that works pretty damn well, considering all the obstacles placed in the road of justice by Federal black-robed demons and their Sorosian agents.

Juries are the last remnant of common law governance, the last place where real citizens can exert any power at all, AND the last place where police and citizens who defend themselves from criminals can be freed from Deepstate's relentless drive to obliterate self-defense.

Three strikes as seen by Deepstate. Why are juries still holding the bat?

Well, I spoke too soon as usual. A few hours before I wrote the above, this article appeared in "American" "Conservative" online. A Sorosian copkiller operating as usual under the label of "Libertarian" is trying to discredit juries because juries help cops defend us from criminals. Clearly the start of a campaign with several flanks.
