The champion
Speaking of truth-tellers, Ann Widdecombe is the champion truth-teller right now. She never allows a flat assertion to sail through unquestioned, never bites the poisoned apple.
This interview is classic.
At one point the "male" journalist unit fires a standard idiotic talking point at Ann. She disassembles the talking point and hands it back. The "male" unit says "I don't understand."
Ann doesn't bother to explain AGAIN, just says "I'm sorry that you don't understand."
Beautiful contrast in body language. The "male" unit feels cold and humiliated. He doesn't even understand why he doesn't understand. Ann is cozily ensconced in truth.
I trust her truth by EXPERIENCE, which is the only way of judging truth. She is the ONLY politician in the world who speaks the truth about prison and crime. All others, regardless of good or bad intentions, are totally removed from reality.
