Symmetrical misdefinition
I've been bitching about our constant legitimizing of scams and rackets.
Now we're completing the pattern by DElegitimizing honest business.
Headline at (natch) Bloomberg:
The Super-Rich Are Being Scammed on Their Private Jets
Nope. Not a fraud or scam. Just plain old business. Charge what the traffic will bear. Food services and janitorial services and aircraft maintenance know that the private-jet crowd is a captive audience. Rich fuckheads are NOT going to fly on Southwest. The services also know that rich fuckheads have lots of money by fucking definition. So the services charge high prices.
If they were charging money and NOT providing services, it would be fraud. But that's not the story.
