What's missing on a chessboard?
One of the second-string Repooflican yappers was observing: "It's ironic that the lower-class always votes Democrat, and the richest people also vote Democrat."
Not ironic at all. Astute social observers have seen this forever.
In fact it's innate. Natural law. Serfs and owners always align on the same side because serfs can't survive without the owners. Most importantly, serfs fight for their owners when ordered, but artisans and merchants don't fight willingly. Makers are traditionally antiwar because war is breaking. The Insatiable takers, the aristocrats, are warmongers because they always want MORE MORE MORE MORE MORE, and they love to break people and things.
A chessboard illustrates the point. Chess was designed by aristocrats. The pieces include all the allies and employees of aristocrats: Kings, queens, bishops, knights, pawns. But there are no merchants or coppersmiths or millers or carpenters on a chessboard.
