Thanks, weather gods!
This winter seems to be warmer and wetter than usual, with more rain and less snow than average. A quick look at the Weather Bureau's monthly summaries verifies the guess.
For Nov and Dec and Jan to today (18) the liquid precip total is 7.09 inches. If all of that had fallen as snow, we'd have around 80 inches of snow. But in fact we only have 30 so far. Most of the precip fell as rain.
Thanks, weather gods!
(The all-or-nothing comparison isn't precise .... even in a cold winter the first part of Nov would have
some liquid rain ... but it's close enough.)
