Talk like notebook, talk like Injun
A conversation in a dream this morning led to a connection.
Few months ago I pointed out an item at Engrish.com that struck me as hopelessly funny. It's a school notebook from Korea, with this English on the front:
"She said hi to me without compunction. Hi, Clara, how was your trip to the coast?"
The sentence is unexceptional, but wildly out of place on the cover of a notebook.
Finally figured out why this is so ticklish.
I talk that way in dreams. Speak without compunction, call people by name, say things like "Well, Margaret, what do you think of this?"
In real life I figured out LOOOOOONG AGO that nobody listens to a zero-status Deplorable, so I don't waste words that won't be heard or acknowledged. Talk like Injun. Yup. Nope. Mmp.
The dream-scripter is an extrovert Insatiable that somehow got stuck inside an introvert Deplorable, and isn't happy about the job placement.
