Stupidest religious wars 2
Following on the peculiar emptiness of our "battles" over empty people like Ann and Milo....
Trump's executive orders continue to be empty. Previous orders deleted last-minute Obama poison pill orders which had never taken effect. Trump was restoring a status quo that never actually went away. This symbolic deletion is important but it's not the same as deleting a REAL order that had been destroying people and communities for years.
His "religious freedom" order is more directly empty. The order specifies that executive departments should continue doing what they're doing, and it gently suggests that departments shouldn't add new restrictions on religion unless they feel like it.
The two versions of "Repeal And Replace" are also empty, with one major exception. The second version adds massive subsidies (130 billion) to insurance companies without requiring the insurers to do anything different. So it's empty for normal people but an overflowing free gift for insurers.
If you're going to take an action that GIVES THE ENEMY A POINT TO ATTACK, your action should accomplish something. Your action should help your own side or damage the enemy.
Trump and the alleged "conservative" side are just sending up flares to show the enemy where to shoot. Here we are! Come get us!
