Return of bias but not quite the same
Before the Web I used to listen to international SW stations. I still listen to the preselected group carried by
WRN on the local FM station, and read the websites of several broadcasters.
Before 1990 all of these official broadcasters were consistent. All carried the national government's line, which was APPROPRIATE. They were designed and paid to serve and represent the gov't.
After the Switchover, the gov't broadcasters lost their consistent bias. You could hear a lot of news and opinion that didn't suit the government.
This year the firm bias has returned, but NOT on the level of national gov'ts.
It's especially noticeable on BBC and Deutsche Welle and Radio Slovakia. All three broadcasters are PURE EU, PURE SOROS. Migrants good, citizens bad. Juncker good, populists bad. Goldman good, local industries bad. RUSSIA BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD. MUST KILL RUSSIA.
Meanwhile, public opinion AND THE NATIONAL GOVERNMENTS in those countries have turned much more nationalistic and populistic. You wouldn't know it from the broadcasters.
