A leak that doesn't change anything
Since I'm comparing leakers, might as well pointlessly comment on Assange. His latest output is peculiar, showing an odd lack of basic smarts.
(1) He supports Brexit reluctantly, which is out of phase for a standard-brand commie. Normally an Assange type would always go for more UN, more Europa.
His reasoning is backwards and highly personal:
There is something I’ve experienced personally which is seeing this Government, the Cameron Government, repeatedly use the EU as political cover for its own decision-making. It launders things to the EU and then claims that it can’t do anything about it. For example, the EAW, the European Arrest Warrant.In other words, he thinks Britain should get out of EU to protect EU from being abused by Cameron. This is just weird. (2) He's planning to publish more leaks on Hillary. In this case he seems to be more realistic, but still oddly out of phase:
Assange said it was highly unlikely that the US attorney general, Loretta Lynch, would indict Clinton. “She’s not going to indict Hillary Clinton, that’s not possible. It’s not going to happen. But the FBI can push for concessions from a Clinton government,” he said.He's correct that it ain't gonna happen. The Deep State prefers to have two "choices" to guarantee a spare if one goes rogue. This year the Repoofs mysteriously went rogue and failed to approve DeepState Jeb, leaving dubious maybe-not-DeepState Trump as one "choice". We know that the non-DeepState "choice" will lose, but the missing spare means Hillary is especially valuable now. The Deep State would never indict her. Assange has that part right. But he's delusional if he thinks FBI would use the indictments for leverage. Concessions???? FBI already knows what happens when it gets too close to a Clinton. Tried that in '93, got canned FAST.
