Thanks, Ralph 386 (and probably a bunch more)
The good part of Obama's latest "guidance" is that many school systems and states are openly and publicly REBELLING. We can also be sure that many more parents will seek private schools or home-schooling arrangements, though that won't make the news.
Most schools should have seceded from Federal control a LONG time ago. Since the '50s Federal subsidies have forced huge piles of evil and destructive nonsense. The cost/benefit has been negative since the '70s, but most schools were unwilling to say NO. The heaviest load came with the IEP crap for "learning disabled" (ie nasty) kids. Schools often spend over 100k for each nasty kid, hiring individual tutors and individual administrators instead of spanking the nasty kid once or twice.
In other words, the Feds have been running an LBO on schools. We steal your soul, force you to serve Satan instead of serving your own community, and in return we make you bear most of the cost.
In the big picture the latest atrocity is no worse than previous atrocities, but if this is what it takes to reach the point of secession, I'm deeply thankful.
