EMOTIONALLY, yes. She SHOULDN'T be required to violate her conscience.
PRACTICALLY, no. In all other situations I've decided that careerism is the main problem. "Working within the system" doesn't work. In Soviet America system works you.
What about the old CP Snow rule? Be There.
This still applies to details and numbers. If you're present and active in a meeting, you can generally pull a design or a budget toward your desired direction.
It doesn't apply to an absolute tyranny requiring you to commit evil. In that case you should deprive the tyranny of your talents. GET OUT FAST.
Emerson again. Purges are ultimately stupid, and ultimately lead to the collapse of the purger. When a purger forces competent and experienced people out of jobs, he loses competence and experience. He ends up hiring brainless thugs whose sole qualification is loyalty to evil.
When you fight, you give Satan an excuse to escalate his firepower. When you leave quietly, Satan has to waste time and money hiring and training an inexperienced replacement.
We should speed the collapse instead of enlarging the war.
