Bloomsday inflection
Spokane did its Bloomsday thing today. I get the sense that the race has crossed through an inflection point where the professional (ie Kenyan) aspect has taken over from the amateur aspect.
On my daily morning walks I recognize a Regular Crowd of walkers, runners and bikers. In previous years an unfamiliar set of unpracticed runners always appeared during the month or two before Bloomsday. This year no unfamiliars at all.
