Stasi wins one!
I've been biting my tongue hard during this travesty of a "trial", because I've seen that lawyers often scan blog opinions and I didn't want to affect the result in even a tiny way.
Now that it's done, the tyrannical result is drearily predictable. Standard operating procedure for post-1989 America. Stasi, sometimes called "FBI", have taken an uppity honky out of circulation.
Here's Edgar Steele's wife telling the story.

To solve a crime, find and convict the nearest Klansman.
If you can't find a Klansman, a Southerner will do.
If you can't find a Southerner, a white Christian will do.
If there is a white Christian who annoys you, but there isn't a crime that needs solving: create a crime and then convict him of the crime.
