The Shadow knows
I'm always amazed at the web's depth and speed. Immediately after posting previous item on Dunning-Kruger, I went to UncommonDescent and posted a random comment on an item about chimpanzees.
Then I checked Quora. First two items: DK, chimps.
The web knows everything you're doing.
Quora
always presents ads about LMSs and courseware, though I only occasionally discuss the topic here. Quora knows what I do for a living.

A moment later: Immediately after posting the above, I checked Quora again. Nothing about the web's instant monitoring of people. Makes sense. Deepstate thrives on keeping its own "methods and sources" secret. Still, this would seem to be a weak point in terms of cryptography. Responding consistently to some types of signals and failing to respond to others lets the enemy observe your internal functioning. Similar non-barking observations have been crucial in cracking difficult codes.
