John Henry 2.0
People have a way of rediscovering old methods without realizing it.
The neighbors cut down
some of their killer trees last week, after one of them fell in the January windstorm, narrowly missing their house and my house. I wish they had cut ALL of the killer trees, but I can't do anything about their decision.
Today they have a crew at work removing the remaining BIG stump of the tree that fell. Two young men are working with axes, not chain saws. They're working in rhythm, and one of them is improvising a rap about chopping to keep the rhythm!
Work songs were obsolete. Now they're back.
Maybe there's hope for humans after all.
