A little too fair-minded
Undark has a solid fair-minded article on Ioannidis and 'medical tribalism'.
The article is too fair-minded about one aspect of the tribalism.
It's true that Ioannidis has always been professionally careful, always stayed within professional bounds, unlike ALL others in the former so-called alleged "profession" of so-called alleged "medicine".
And it's also true that a careful man like Ioannidis receives criticism from both angles. Holocausters want him to join the murder squad, and sane humans wish he'd be a bit less subtle when discussing mass slaughter.
But 'medical tribalism' has gone ONLY ONE WAY for many years. Since 2010 most of the critics of "medicine" have been on the Right, aimed at two targets.
1. Obamacare is a crazy target because it's a strictly right-wing project, giving total monopoly to large corporations, written by Heritage Foundation and originally sponsored by Romney. Obama rebranded it as "Democrat", and the Repooflicans obediently bashed it WHILE SUPPORTING HERITAGE AND VOTING FOR ROMNEY.
2. Since 2014 or so, Center For Dissident Control has been asking illegal and self-incriminatory questions about political beliefs on "medical" history forms, which were effectively mandatory because of Obamacare. The Right has PROPERLY bashed this target.
During those years, the "medical" community didn't self-censor. Criticism from the Repooflican side caused the "medical" community to double down on its illegal and immoral habits.
The same PERFECTLY ONE-SIDED response continues with the holocaust, and now the "racism" nonsense. EVERY hospital and HMO and doctor agrees 100% that genocide is the ONLY cure for an ordinary virus, and EVERY hospital and HMO and doctor agrees 100% that "racism" is more deadly than any virus.
Nobody in the "medical" community has self-censored their support for genocide after sane humans complained about genocide.
