By now it's not a surprise
Via RT, the O'Keefe operation turns out to be a Deepstate asset.
Not entirely surprised. I was impressed at first, then got suspicious later.
O'Keefe wasn't really ruining the media and politicians. In normal intel style, he was giving out info that we already knew. The insiders who gave away real secrets were fired, which helped the media to root out heretics. Other insiders showed that media still had a few old-fashioned objective journalists, which may have increased viewer sympathy and trust for the media.
Like Assange, O'Keefe was cagey about his sources and methods, which is normal for intel assets.
If you are truly independent, your revelations will NOT help the enemy, and you will tell us EVERYTHING about your methods and funding.
Later thought: This fits the sharp observation about businesses that I read somewhere: A thriving business with no visible customers is probably a front for criminal activity. O'Keefe runs a HUGE operation that has enough money to hire the insiders who were fired. There's no way such a large outfit could be solely funded by Patreon donations.
