Not convinced
Turley is calling attention to the newly elected president of El Salvador. Turley considers Bukele to be a populist, and adds him to the growing list of non-Soros countries.
I'm not convinced. Turley's criteria are overly broad, including some ordinary "conservatives" within the populist label.
Bukele is definitely an interesting character with a fresh approach. He's a Palestinian, with a typical mix of Muslim and Christian background. His wife is part Jewish, and Bukele made a show of visiting Israel. He was a motorcycle dealer before entering politics. He won this year's election without a real platform. Looking at his Twitter feed, I don't detect a platform or agenda except "unifier, not divider".
Reminds me strongly of Obama. Similar mixed background, similar vague agenda. Obama turned out to be a standard Sorosian neocon serving NYC banks.
Like Obama, Bukele is a
citizen of the world, which means a citizen of Deepstate, a citizen of Sorosia. Bukele
may turn out to be a citizen of El Salvador who rules to benefit the people of El Salvador. But all the signs point elsewhere.
Populists who GET SHIT DONE are lifetime professional politicians with a long-standing consistent PURPOSE. A leader who tries to be everything to everybody always turns out to be a loyal tool of Deepstate.
