Both start with an ignorant false presumption that the upper and lower classes have something in common. Marie's form ignorantly presumes that the Deplorables have the same choices as the aristocrat, but the Deplorables are too dumb to figure out that cake is the alternate choice. In this new Macron form, the aristocrat ignorantly presumes that Deplorables have the same resources and tastes as the aristocrat. We're all demonic greedy grasping billionaires who URGENTLY NEED TO OWN ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD, and we all hate the REPRESENTATIVES OF THE PEOPLE. Romney, the exact US equivalent of Macron, made the same ignorant presumption often. The presumption is fully embodied in Romneycare, rebranded as Obamacare.
