Oughta be a law
Admittedly "laws" don't exist in Sorosian lands, but this would be a good law in an alternate universe where laws exist.
You have a DUTY to accomplish your goals WHILE YOU ARE ABLE. If you didn't even try to accomplish a goal when you had the power to make it happen, you're NOT ENTITLED to talk about the goal later on. When you are out of power you can't PRETEND to work toward the purpose that you "forgot about" when you had the power.
This applies to two separate situations in the political and corporate world.
= = = = =
1. Insiders enthusiastically support evil policies while working for government or corporations, then
immediately become "whistleblowers" after they retire. Sorry, asshole. If you really believed an action was wrong, you should have defunded it or halted it when you had the power. Now that you're safe from responsibility, you are not allowed to claim that you
would have solved it.
Several current D examples of 1.

2. The bicameral game. When Repooflicans have control of all sections of government, they sit and do nothing at all. After one house or one branch switches to D, the Repoofs are safe from responsibility, so they pretend to do shit.
Current R example of 2: Building the Wall. Repoofs COULD have funded the completion of the border during the two years when they had both houses and the Presidency. They did nothing about it. Now that a D majority in the Lower Nuthouse walls them off from responsibility, the Repoofs in the Upper Nuthouse are free to play games and blame the Ds for their own failure.
