Back when I listened to real SW, I noted Radio Moscow's well-known habit of switching to solemn Russian music when the government was in some sort of turmoil. I called it the Borodin Effect, and since then I've been watching for parallel examples.
A good one this week on France's national propaganda outlet France24. Macron is in turmoil. The BIG news in France is the Yellowjackets vs Macron's escalating stupid arrogance.

Nobody else in the world is interested in Congo, which has been in a permanent condition of coups and revolutions since 1960. Suddenly Congo is deeply fascinating to France24.
