Pretty damn close to Soviet....
A large group of hospitals, along with the VA, are putting together a NON-PROFIT and NON-SHARE-BASED pharmaceutical company to make generic drugs at affordable prices. The effort seems to have been sparked by Shkreli and Valeant's murderous pricejacking.
This isn't quite as good as true Soviet state-controlled capital, but the purpose is the same and the function should be similar.
This is exactly the German approach to health care, with private firms prohibited from seeking profit.
