Spatial pair vs temporal pair
Most successful enterprises are founded by a complementary pair. The dreamer and the pragmatist, the inventor and the bean-counter, the manic and the depressive. The best examples are brothers, but every combination has worked. Friends, cousins, husband and wife, father and daughter.
The manic side
constantly pulls toward new grandiose plans, and the depressive side
constantly pulls toward achievable reality. Spatial pairs work because the opposite vectors are
steady and simultaneous, summing to a steady or slowly changing resultant.
Elon is a
temporal pair. He contains the dreamer and the pragmatist in the same mind, switching back and forth unpredictably and abruptly. Because the opposite pulls are NOT steady and simultaneous, the company is yanked back and forth. There is no summing, no resultant vector.
