Monarch of Pointland
Modern elites are remarkably isolated from reality and isolated from their own souls. Trump has hit a new high in solipsism.
"I really believe I'd run in there, even without a weapon."
Jesus.
1. Nobody knows what they would do until it happens.
2. Some people realize after real disaster experience that the best thing they can do is stay out. I learned this from painful repeated experience. My immediate responses to trouble were helpful ... or so I
thought ... but people made it clear that my help was NOT WANTED. So I don't help any more. Fuck it and fuck them.
3. People who have actually been tested, and who found that their help was useful and wanted, DON'T BOAST ABOUT IT. They just do it, and they have enough experience and judgment to know in advance WHEN they will be useful and when they won't.
4. Trump has never been in serious situations, and his boast
tells us that he hasn't. But he doesn't understand reality and humanity well enough to
realize what he has told us.
5. His boast also tells us that he
doesn't even know how to make himself look good, which is pretty much the only thing he's good at.
THEREFORE: He doesn't know himself, doesn't know trouble, and isn't good at the one thing he's good at.
