What would Nature do?
Continuing the theme of decentralizing and seceding.

Outside the EU, Serbia's foreign minister has expressed support for Madrid.

"Our position is clear and principled, Spain is one of the greatest friends of Serbia," Ivica Dacic said, adding that Madrid is in "the same position on the issue of the territorial integrity of Serbia."

Spain, unlike most other EU member states, does not recognize the independence of Kosovo, which broke away from Serbia in 2008.

Decentralizing is not a basic question of morality and law. Facts and history can establish limits. Some regions are clearly qualified for autonomy and some aren't. But within the 'qualified' range, logic and law and morality don't provide guidance.

Does Nature offer advice? Yes.

A normal organism DOES try to keep all of its innately formed regions connected and functional. It doesn't want to lose an arm or a kidney, so it tries to maintain circulation and innervation to those regions.

A normal organism DOESN'T want to add more pieces. When a mosquito lands on your face, the skin doesn't annex the mosquito and connect it to your blood and nerves. Instead, your face senses the presence of an unwanted object and uses all available weapons to remove it.

The occasional exceptions to this rule point back to its universality. What about pearls in oysters or cysts that form around splinters? Those are not inclusions, they're isolations. The pearl or cyst forms because physically removing the object was impossible. (Oysters don't have hands, and our hands sometimes can't remove a splinter.)

The sand grain or splinter was ISOLATED, not ANNEXED.

Nature don't do consolidation.

Nature DOES do symbiosis. If the nearby region has something you want, you can form a relationship where you provide something useful in exchange for the wanted resource. Money or protection or transportation. This arrangement works nicely.

In fact Spain KNOWS HOW TO DO SYMBIOSIS. Andorra has been symbiotic with Spain for centuries. How did it resist inclusion? Because Andorra is ALSO symbiotic with France.

And there's the correct answer, which many countries are already applying now that there's an INHIBITORY HOST available. Turkey and Persia and Brazil and Venezuela are reaching out to Inhibitory Symbiont Russia to establish a normal TENSION of positive and negative feedback. Turkey was tired of being treated as an organ by USA STRONG, so it's trying to become a two-way symbiont. Persia was tired of being treated as a splinter by USA STRONG, so it's seeking balance.

Needless to say, the Antichrist immediately and reliably spoke out against Nature and sanity and goodness:

Meanwhile Pope Francis has urged Europeans to put aside nationalistic interests for the sake of unity. His remarks came during a visit to northern Italy on Sunday and did nor refer directly to the violence which at the time was breaking out in Catalonia.

"Don't be afraid of unity," Francis said. "May special interests and nationalism not render the courageous dreams of the founders of the European Union in vain!"

In other words, violence and mass death and aggressive wars and total slavery are saintly and Christlike. Autonomy and symbiosis are evil.
