ScormCloud still excellent
Just felt like kudosing a company that does things right.
During the previous courseware project I had (reluctantly) started using and paying
ScormCloud to host the learning modules for checking and trials. SC allows 'invitations' to other users so they can either run the modules for a grade in real classrooms, or run the modules for checking. Their customer assistance is outstanding. Friendly and prompt.
When the project was done in Jan 2015, I turned off the subscription. It's $75 a month, which is a considerable amount. Authors don't get reimbursed for 'operating expenses'.
When this new project started unexpectedly last month, I signed back into ScormCloud and started paying again. All of my material was STILL THERE, still ready to use,
after a gap of 2.5 years. It's a tremendous favor to users.
Thanks, ScormCloud!
This old-fashioned loyalty stands in sharp contrast to Dropbox, another company I've been paying for work-related service. Dropbox is
cutting services to people who are CURRENTLY PAYING, while ScormCloud maintains service for people who might resume paying.
