That's not the problem.
Allegedly Donald Junior met with a "Russian" lawyer who promised damaging info about Hillary but didn't deliver.
Well then, the lawyer certainly wasn't working for the Russian government. She was some kind of fake**, either from DNC or from CIA. YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN SMART ENOUGH TO FIGURE THAT OUT.
The real problem here is not the continuing delusion of RUSSIANMEDDLING, it's fantastic stupidity by the Trump bunch.
You didn't NEED to get damaging info about Hillary from dubious sources, and the damaging info WOULDN'T HAVE HELPED. The media would have used it to damage you. As they're doing now. Why do Repooflican politicians STILL believe that the media is objective and neutral, after 60 fucking years of ABSOLUTE 100% EVIDENCE TO THE CONTRARY?
You hopeless idiots, you were winning because you offered a SPECIFIC PROMISE that you would DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT. You promised LESS WAR AND MORE JOBS.
Hillary lost because she offered NOTHING BUT DAMAGING INFORMATION FROM DUBIOUS SOURCES. Solid Tourette insults 24/7.
Your promise turned out to be false, but that's not relevant to this issue. At that stage in the campaign you should have been concentrating fully on the PROMISE, and then you should have FULFILLED the promise afterward.

** Later thought. If the lawyer was actually working for the Russian government, this means the Russian government was trying to SABOTAGE Trump, not help him. Making the son look suspicious, while not providing any useful information.
