Another weird smell
This one is definitely outside. Seemed to be strongest in the Audubon area, and now that a wind is blowing from that direction, it's in my neighborhood. Some combination of wood and cherry, with a hint of soap.
Reminds me of a smell that came with wildfires a couple years ago. I think it was mainly fire-retardant plus some aspect of the smoke.
Wildfires are absolutely out of the question now. I hope and pray that the
rainiest season in history has ended, but in fact we've had exactly
39 WONDERFUL PRECIOUS HOURS without rain so far. No possibility that ANYTHING has dried out enough to burn.
Given the direction, maybe the sewage treatment plant is messed up or blowing up or something.
Few hours later: It's mostly gone, not entirely.
