Where are the moderate councilmembers? Found one!
Amber Waldref seems to have realized that the majority of alien monsters illegally occupying the Council Chamber are ruining the reputation of the not-quite-monsters who may be redeemable.
The majority alien monsterblobs recently declared Oct 12 to be "Indigenous Firstses Nationses Peopleses Dayses."
Now Waldref is trying to claw back some territory for sanity with a proposal to name Oct 1 as "Italian-American Heritage Day."
Columbus Day was always meant as a salute to Italian-Americans. Every literate person has always understood that Columbus didn't "discover" North America. He landed on Haiti and thought it was Indonesia. The Vikings were the first Euros to move in and settle North America. School curricula recognized this 100 years ago. The idea that "everybody thinks Columbus discovered America" is just another turd of leftist bigotry.
So it makes sense to name the salute-day correctly.
