Manweller thought
I hadn't thought about Manweller's Law in quite a while, but suddenly realized....
Manweller says that democracy is a luxury, an outgrowth of a stable and secure setup. When things are going well enough for the elites, they can put up "candidates" who agree on all the essentials. "Elections" help to maintain legitimacy and keep the peasants calm.
When there are SERIOUS differences of purpose among major factions, elections stop and AK47s emerge.
This is the first time since 1932** that we have a MODERATELY serious difference of purpose among major factions. So it's not surprising that the Deepstate is attempting to cancel the election. Deepstate already canceled Bernie. Many local and state elections and referenda have been deleted by court decisions or by arresting an uppity Repooflican. (Those deleted local elections probably matter more than the national in the long run.)
Now Deepstate is trying everything short of AK47s to cancel Trump. If everything short fails ...

** In '32 Hoover was an enthusiastic globalist and FDR was a reluctant localist. After the election the differences continued to get worse, with three BIG movements pulling toward even more localism and openly heading for revolution. FDR listened to the people and responded heroically, disarming the globalist elites and rebuilding local farms and industries. Result: Factions faded out. Nation was saved.
