"God gave us the earth 'to till and to keep' in a balanced and respectful way," Francis said. "To till too much, to keep too little, is to sin." Officials said the call was the logical extension of Francis' landmark and controversial ecological encyclical issued last year. In it, the world's first Latin American pope called for a revolution to correct what he said was a "structurally perverse" economic system in which the rich have exploited the poor and turned the Earth into an "immense pile of filth."Now the fucking idiot Romans will need to do a total search-and-replace on all scriptures, catechisms, masses, etc. Find God, replace with Gaia. As you'd expect from the Antichrist, this is a mass of confusion and contradiction and cognitive dissonance. Thrift and caution are virtues in any proper moral or religious system. Antichrist steals these proper virtues and transforms them into serving Soros, which means infinite slaughter of the poor to infinitely enrich the Chosen.

Polistra was named after the original townsite of Manhattan (the one in Kansas). When I was growing up in Manhattan, I spent a lot of time exploring by foot, bike, and car. I discovered the ruins of an old mill along Wildcat Creek, and decided (inaccurately) that it was the remains of the original site of Polistra. Accurate or not, I've always liked the name, with its echoes of Poland (an under-appreciated friend of freedom) and stars. ==== The title icon is explained here. ==== Switchover: This 2007 entry marks a sharp change in worldview from neocon to pure populist. ===== The long illustrated story of Polistra's Dream is a time-travel fable, attempting to answer the dangerous revision of New Deal history propagated by Amity Shlaes. The Dream has 8 episodes, linked in a chain from the first. This entry explains the Shlaes connection.
