big thrill
I'm enviously watching May as she re-creates a tired government, kicking out used-up politicians, bringing new ones in, creating new departments for new purposes, all in a few DAYS. Making an election MEANINGFUL in terms of FAIT ACCOMPLI results.
The old NATURAL parliament system is tremendously more alive, more adaptable, more survivable, than our totally locked omnicidal suicidal fraudulent zombie hypercrime.
With that comparison in mind, Trump's choice of Pence is good enough, I guess. Pence is well known in R circles, not especially controversial, and YOUNGER. The VP has only one real job: replacing the P when the P dies or loses his faculties.
Dubya and Obama peculiarly reversed the pattern. Both were young when elected, both chose ancient and fragile VPs. Biden got even fragiler when his son died, melting down into a weepy blob of quivering protoplasm.
With old Trump and young Pence, we would at least be returning to the last little scrap of the Constitution that still holds true.
