The Chosen have made their intentions clear. They are currently killing the Negative Externalities, by war in areas close to Israel and by starvation and despair elsewhere. After the NegEx are gone, the Chosen will design robots to do the grunt work.

But it's also clear that robots won't be ready to perform some necessary functions, especially those involving pattern recognition. How do you get wetware slaves without the inconvenience of all those non-Chosen characteristics like morality and common sense?
Build them.
Over 130 scientists, lawyers, entrepreneurs, and government officials from five continents gathered at Harvard this week for an “exploratory” meeting to discuss the topic of creating genomes from scratch — including, but not limited to, those of humans, said George Church, Harvard geneticist and co-organizer of the meeting. The meeting was closed to the press, which drew the ire of prominent academics.I'm sure those prominent academics can be de-ired by grant money. Give them a few million and they'll get with the program.
