Tragedy in the strict sense
As in Greek or Shakespearean.
Cruz wins Okla and Texas because those states are generally more prosperous than the rest of the country. Trump's appeal isn't nearly as strong where the system has not entirely failed, not entirely starved and ruined and fucked over the ordinary man.
Why is Texas prosperous? Partly because of oil, but much more broadly because Rick Perry was a magnificently competent governor. Perry leveraged the oil prosperity to bring in all sorts of MANUFACTURING to Texas. Texas MAKES THINGS.
And who gets the benefit of Rick Perry's hard work and inspiration? The crudely animated partybot Clutch Cargo, who did absolutely nothing to help.
