What's the weirdest place in the world?
A couple of recent biological observations converge to the unlikely but obvious answer.

Figs nurture an internal ecosystem that includes:
Story 1: Parasitic wasps with ZINC-PLATED ovipositors that have an independent system of sensors to locate and conquer the eggs of competing wasps.
Story 2: Nematodes that can develop five entirely different head structures depending on which food source is dominant. (Parasitic wasps are one of the food sources.)
