Curious
Obama has set up the usual R vs D scrum on "guns", nicely diverting most political energy into a completely pointless set of endlessly boring trite standard cliches.
This will prevent anyone from considering steps that could actually solve the problem, like stronger habitual-criminal laws, more useful jobs for young men, shutting down all TV networks and shooting all "journalists", or
improved insane asylums.
Smart move.
So far Trump has done a good job of spotting these trite monstrosities and breaking out of the idiot playing field to observe the truth.
I'm curious to see what he'll do about this one. Most of his followers expect to hear the standard R "side" of this "debate". Will he satisfy them, or will he run outside the lines?
A little later: Trump took the usual R line. Disappointing.
Later again: Amazingly, one of Obama's proposals is PART OF THE SOLUTION. Stop using lethal Privacy Laws to suppress records of asylum commitments. Several of the worst shootings have been schizies with long asylum records. Ideally we should eliminate ALL privacy laws, especially HIIPA or HIPAA or HIPPA or HHIIIIIPPPPPAAA or whatever the fuck it's called. Deadliest law since Volstead.
