Odd Sony logo
Skimming through a
1962 Greek movie.
I halted in the initial credits at this surprising frame:
That's not the normal Sony logo, and I didn't realize Sony was known outside of Japan in '62!
Sony's own history page indicates that the brand name was created in 1955 and started spreading outside Japan around 1958. There was a brief usage of a more Jap-looking logo, but the familiar broad Times Roman logo has been used since '57.
The Greek title page, to the extent I can halfway translate it, is crediting something called Radex for recording the dialog and music. Radex visually points to Sony. Google doesn't find a recorder called Radex but does find a
recording studio called Radex. Doesn't seem likely.
