Rain!
Nice soft rain. Looks like it's going to be a meaningful amount, maybe enough to slow some fires. Yay!
I went out to walk in it 'for best results', and noticed this sort of monochrome rainbow? or sundog? just before the actual rain hit. I'm facing SW here, and the sun was just beginning to clear the horizon in the NE. For once my crappy picture looks like the real thing.
Later: Yes! Rained off and on for 4 hours, total 1/4 inch here. Soaked plants and soil, and did slow the fires somewhat.
