Kim Option?
Both parts of Korea are pushing hard but belatedly against Japan's crimes during its 40-year occupation of Korea. This is the 70th anniversary of liberation. Seems like a lot of anniversaries have passed without major pushes, but for whatever reason the push this time is MASSIVE.
North and South are taking different approaches.
South is doing the High Moral Ground crap,
hoping to
appeal to a nonexistent Jap moral sense.
Won't happen. Japs are amoral.
North is trying an innovative version of the Benedict Option, a new form of
Semantic Secession. Realizing that Satan is immovable and unstoppable. Steering clear of things that have been
desecrated by the Satanic force.
Western Benedicters try to find locations or occupations or behavior patterns or vocabularies that haven't been claimed by Satan.
Kim 3 is
finding a time zone that hasn't been desecrated. The existing time zone was imposed by the Japs, so Kim is moving 30 minutes away from it.
Seems silly at first, but actually makes sense. I
understand the impulse completely, and it opens new
horizons for Benedicting.

Later: Now South is defending its linguistic space in an odd way. Plants that have the word 'Japanese' in their
English names will be given new
English names in Korea. Japanese daisy becomes Oriental daisy. One scientist described it as 'liberating the plants from occupation'. Seems silly at first, and stays silly. No, beyond silly. Fucking dumb.
