Next stage? No.
Romans are busily worrying about the 'next stage' after same-sex marriage. They're convinced it's polygamy.
Nope. Polygamy will NOT become fashionable for two simple reasons. (1) Polygamy is biblical. The Old Testament is explicit, and the New Testament is sort of cagey, but both allow polygamy. Paul recommends that a church leader should be a "man with one wife", which implies that a "man with two wives" is OK outside the leadership. (2) In modern times polygamy is associated with Muslims, Mormons and
lower-class SOUTHERN Christians. CONFEDERATE FLAG CONFEDERATE FLAG CONFEDERATE FLAG CONFEDERATE FLAG nuff said.
I formerly thought the 'next stage' would be something that can't be written. Now that the structure and sequence of this monster are fully visible, I've abandoned that guess.
I don't think there is a 'next stage' at all. 'Next stage' is a null concept. Same-sex was not a 'stage', it was just a convenient vehicle to make pogroms official.
Compare with an earlier process. Relativism and hippie culture didn't breed a 'next stage'. Relativism was just a cute technique to establish absolute leadership. When followers believe they "can't judge", leaders can get away with anything. Leaders then used non-judgment to turn hippies into a battering ram aimed at the doors of government. Once inside government, Leftists found that the
War On Drugs is a better source of murderous power than
Drugs. The
War On Terror is a better source of murderous power than
Make Love Not War. Hippies were discarded.
So I wouldn't be surprised if ordinary non-political same-sex couples find themselves abandoned by the political types. The injection has been accomplished. Toss the empty syringe.
The next step in the process is good old Robust Debate, bidding up the size and ferocity of the pogrom against Christians and Muslims in geometric steps. Bear in mind that the Christian side of this operation has a lot of catching up to do. We've notched up a million Muslims in Iraq, Libya, Bosnia, Yemen, etc. Our Christian count in the Ruby Ridge and Waco betas is still less than 100.
