More passivation, more terachutzpah
BBC can still produce fine even-handed programs when its religious beliefs like GLOBAL WARMING! and CRUSH PUTIN! and CRUSH CHRISTIANS! aren't involved.
This feature on cyberwarfare is eminently fair, reaching a sensible conclusion. All-out attacks, as envisioned by the neocons, are extremely difficult; and good old MAD still works. We do attack Persia's nuclear facilities because we know that Persia doesn't actually have nukes, despite Bibi's idiotic gibbering. But Persia DOESN'T respond in kind because Persia knows that we DO actually have nukes. In other words, though BBC didn't go ahead and say it, we don't need to worry about other countries. We are the only bully, the only aggressor, the only criminal in the world. We are only "worrying" to provide an excuse for more attacks.
Appropriately enough, Frederick Kagan is the main speaker for the bullies in this feature. At one point (around 11:00 in podcast) Kagan says "A very skilled attacker ... can do an enormous amount of damage to our critical infrastructure. ... The scenarios that keep me up at night are the scenarios of miscalculation. There's always this probing around perceived redlines. In the context of a
world that has become incredibly violent, the risk of miscalculation is high."
Passivation. A world that has BECOME incredibly violent. Where are the places that have BECOME violent? Iraq and Afghanistan. Kagan played a major part in starting those wars. Syria, Libya, Ukraine. Kagan's wife Victoria Nudelman
started those wars directly and personally.
There are a few wars in Africa (Congo, CAR) that have been running for decades without any participation from Kagan and Nudelman. EVERYTHING ELSE IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY, Freddie and Vicky. You are the BECOMERS.
This beats all previous cases of passivation and
chutzpah.
