Timeshared ketchup?
Super-weird detail in afternoon nap dream. I think it was somehow motivated by a smell or taste left over from lunch sandwich, a smell that reminded me of fancy restaurants. I know nothing about fancy restaurants. Haven't been in a cloth-napkin restaurant more than a dozen times in my whole life. Haven't been in
any restaurant since 2000. Avoiding restaurants is a key part of frugality. Maybe I'm missing the experience or something.
In the dream I was 'time-sharing' a complicated metal picnic table with a successful attorney. When I used the table, it was a workbench for electronic stuff. When the successful attorney used the picnic table, it was laid out with a fancy tablecloth, and obsequious waiters served his fancy food.
The next time I took over the table for my electronic junk, I found a defective ketchup dispenser was left over from the restaurant 'universe'. The nozzle part was squarish and seemed upside-down. As I started to throw it away, I realized the attorney had
carved a message into the plastic. "This deserves your attention."
When a dream includes such an explicit message, I record it. I don't see a meaning in this nonsense now, but maybe a meaning will emerge later.
.... Figured out where the Successful Attorney came from. One of the OTR episodes in my current playlist has a Successful Attorney as a character, and that phrase is repeated several times when describing him. I had only heard the episode while sleeping, so the character seemed mysterious.
