Russia could offer debt-ridden Greece controversial loans and discounts on supplies of natural gas in exchange for the country's "assets", according to reports in Moscow. Alexis Tsipras, Greece’s prime minister, is due to arrive in the city on Tuesday and will meet Vladimir Putin, Russia’s president, on Wednesday. Athens overtures to Moscow have raised fears the Leftist government is pivoting east in search of alternatives sources of finance as it bids to avoid bankruptcy. Ahead of his visit, Mr Tsipras condemned economic sanctions on Moscow as “a road to nowhere”.Why are the loans "controversial" and "alternative"? Are they some new kind of monetary device that isn't known yet? No, they're just loans, just ordinary attractions to join a different alliance, and there will be a price. But the price vs benefit is better for Greece. The free market. Nothing strange. When one power grows arrogant and assumes nothing exists outside its boundaries, something outside its boundaries will always** prove it wrong. For every Rome there's a Visigoth. Someone should revive the antique concept of a bank, attracting deposits by paying interest and then loaning out the deposits for higher interest. This was NOT a failed model. Banks made a good profit this way for NINE HUNDRED FUCKING YEARS. There's no economic reason why you couldn't still make a profit this way. Why doesn't it happen? Must be some kind of mob blackmail, leg-breakers working for the Jew Casino who prevent real banking from returning.
