Buried by Nabokov
Caution: The following sequence is sane and factual UP TO A POINT.

Old Nikita was right, but not necessarily the way he thought.

Russia WILL see the West buried. That's a clear and obvious fact.

But not because 1959 Russian Marxism has defeated 1959 American capitalism.

If America had kept the broad outlines of 1959 Capitalism AND 1959 Christianity, we wouldn't be anywhere near the absolute cesspit that we're in now.

As things now stand, Russia will calmly watch the West bury itself because Russia (and other major countries, now forming alliances with Russia) have moved back in the direction of NATURAL LAW, while US/UK/EU have roared away from NATURAL LAW in every aspect of culture and economics.

A major influence on our roaring was Soviet Agent Alisa Rosenbaum alias Ayn Rand. Rosenbaum was assigned to break down Ford-style capitalism that provided jobs and houses and futures for ordinary men and their wives and children; and to bring back Morgan-style capitalism that kept ordinary men debt-slaved to Morgan. This style of capitalism is guaranteed to self-destruct.

Rosenbaum was a solid and simple Darwinian. Her books are precisely and solely about short-term survival of the nastiest, with no room for self-limiting feedback to preserve the system that makes the nastiest rich and powerful. Atlas kills the Untermensch. Atlas wins. But who feeds Atlas now? Whoopsie!

I've sometimes been puzzled by Rosenbaum's alias. AYN is easy. When you look at Alisa in Cyrillic, you can see AYN. But RAND isn't visible in Rosenbaum no matter how you squint.

So... Her job was to forcibly EVOLVE Capitalism from its self-sustaining form into a self-burying form. Not Random mutation, mutation by Rand. Therefore it is Rand-om mutation after all. Instrumental singular.

This doesn't make sense even to me, and seems wildly unlikely. But it's a cute bilingual pun, the sort of thing that a writer like Nabokov or Rosenbaum might come up with.
